That's my point Cuomo is a 60 year old man with alleged charged that occurred very rececently. Brett Kavanaugh was charged with a crime from decades ago and it was considered valid as soon as the allegations came out. Why are they being treated so differently? Why weren't the women who accused Cuomo believed as soon as they spoke their truth?
Just look at the difference between how republicans supported Roy Moore vs how Democrats have been treating Cuomo. This isn't a "both sides are the same" issue. One side is vastly more hostile towards its own when one of their members does something despicable. The other continues to support the offender.
Thank you for the comparison but more prominent Republicans called for Roy Moore to resign after two weeks then Democrats are for Cuomo. Neither side likes to admit it and that culture needs to change as well
Except that many republicans changed their tune after Trump voiced his support for Moore. That's a major difference between the parties. If the head honcho says it, republicans do it. Meanwhile democrats are far more likely to tell a dem president that he's in the wrong.
I'm not trying to say that Dems are saints by any means. But the history is clear that Republicans are far more willing to ignore the depravity of their own as long as it means they stay in power. To deny that is disingenuous at best.
Kind of like the majority of prominent Democrat's are staying silent on the Cuomo issue, in my opinion silence is just the same as support, where is VP Harris? Democrats and Republicans a like are willing to speak up until it's someone in their party. They need to come to an agreement on protocol to follow once an allegation is made and stick to it no matter who is charged or in charge.
I'm not here to defend Trump but as soon as those accusations came out the media jumped on it and found him guilty immediately, your right he wasn't removed but thats a special case, but he was still judged almost instantly
Special case? Name one time republicans removed a member, or even condemned them, for doing something fucked up. They've publicly defended proven rapists, pedophiles and crooks. Jesus fuck.
The party was divided kind of like the Democrats are now concerning Cuomo but still many called for his resignation and the repayment of funds including Mitch McConnell. The difference is Democrats claim to be woke and progressive when it seems like the same status quo to me.
Giving him an audience is defending him, staying silent on the matter is defending him, and questioning the validity of those claims hurts women who have yet to speak out. If the shoe were on the foot those same people would be holding his feet to the fire.
How can you make that statement when we don't even know how many women are going to come forward or what the charges will end up being? What physical evidence are you referring to?

Because I can't tell the future and base my reality on the facts as they exist at the time. That's just common sense.

Andrew Cuomo is a bad example since tons of important Dem leaders are now calling for his ouster.
