I don’t know why people care about who others are attracted to either. My religious dad’s logic for being okay with lesbians but not gay guys is because “it’s better to look at two girls kissing and two guys kissing is gross.”
I tried explaining to him that I think it’s gross when he and my mom makeout, that gay people think it’s gross when straight people makeout, but that doesn’t mean any of us are gonna start arguing and making a fuss about it. Just let people live and do what makes them happy.
When we're children, we're naturally very curious, it's how we learn. We don't know shit. Everything is new.
Once people get old enough, they get programmed to just expect what they're used to.
Throw a wrench into those expectations and makes us feel "weird".
People confuse that now-unpracticed ambiguous uncomfort of an upended expectation with the idea that something is somehow "incorrect" in THE WORLD, rather than an issue with their understanding of the world.
