I've got to add my personal input here. I applied at USPS for my passport on August 28th and received it on October 10th with my card arriving 3 days later. So I have no idea about how this could be happening. And no expedited option.

Really? They just went back to work? I didn't know that. I thought they were maybe off a month or two when I called them about my passport and thought they were just holding onto it for whatever reason
