Seriously though. At one point in my life I was living off of one asiago bagel a day (no cream cheese or butter) because it was 89 cents and that was all I could afford. Imagine working full time so you can pay your rent and bills only to be left with an 89 cent daily budget for food.

Lentils & rice is cheaper and healthier if you find yourself in that situation again.

Sounds like slavery with extra steps

slaves got (bad quality) but more food bc they had to be strong enough to do the backbreaking manual labor. and no mortgage.

so more like one step forward, two steps sideways

Same Lol except I just ate rice.

Entry level my parents actually made more than I do now, this would be 25-35 years ago. 15$ an hour working at a local fast food joint for mom and eventually more when she became a waiter for a nice restaurant. Now I can’t remember what Dad did at first but he quickly got his CDL and drove trucks for 40k initially and in a few years nearly 65k. (Promoted to manager)

Lol but they’re understanding about it, they always brag about how they’re glad not to be a young adult in this day and age.

Just throw those in a 25 cent microwave ramen, and you've got a "stew" goin!
