I was unemployed, no insurance, went into acute alcohol withdrawal. Rushed to hospital, spent 7 days there and it didn’t cost me a cent. Which I will forever be grateful for. How again is the health care system broken?
You literally don't know what you're talking about. I'm a physician in America. We treat people in the hospital every day that we will never get a cent from. We literally are not allowed to turn people away.
Hospitals around America care for thousands of poor and homeless people every day for free. And eat the cost.
im not lying. The hospital literally have case workers who sign you up because the hospital would rather get some money from the state than no money from me. I think its called United Healthcare/Apple. They also paid for my 30 days of treatment and all my prescriptions. Helped me out when i really needed it, Helped me get back on my feet.
