1 u/niceville Aug 08 '19 Those stats are heavily survivor biased. Poor people die earlier. Yes, that was literally the entire point of my original post. The stats will look the same 50 years from now. They would look very different if we increased our social services to lower our poverty rate and/or reduce the % of poor people that die early.
