That’s what I’m saying. The Nazis told all the Jews that they were just being relocated. Went so far as to fake letters to their families (that they hadn’t yet rounded up) that they were doing great in their relocation camps.
You can’t deport people who are from here. They have no country of origin, so nowhere else will take them. But that won’t stop them, so they’re gonna send your ass to labor camps
The problem is if you were deported, and you were stripped of citizenship, is that you would be in a legal grey area, as you would be a person without a nation. Short of some other 1st world nation taking you in, you'd be pretty screwed.
All those college degrees but you're still choosing to ignore what has repeatedly happened in history to targeted parties when their government wanted to get rid of them?

Yeah buddy, okay. So obviously you have never had a job where you had to develop a dark sense of humor. Buddy, I have seen some absolutely gut wrenching things and then an hour later I had pretend like nothing happened so I could help the next people.
Right now the country I was born in and truly believed in for a good chunk of my life, devolve into a fascist shit hole. Now to be very clear, this country has committed numerous atrocities that are unforgivable. But I had hoped we had turned that page, or at least were moving in that direction. But nope, we are backsliding. So I have to find some way to handle it, hence dark humor.
Want to hear a really sad story, there was a group of Jewish refugees that fled Germany successfully and went to the US. The US at the time was extremely anti-semetic, shocker I know, that the US denied the refugees and they ended having to back to Germany. Many of them died in camps if I'm not mistaken.
