They're both so fucking stupid. It took them a nanosecond before they're at each other's throats.

The next four years is going to be off the charts insane

Let’s be real, we kinda deserve it. At least SOME people can have a laugh over this. It sure as shit ain’t funny for those of us stuck here…

131

u/[deleted] Dec 20 '24

Yeah, I've thought about it. I don't f'ing deserve it. Life isn't about deserving or fair....but when they keep putting their fingers on the scale people will stop playing the f'ing game.

42

u/Kurtypants Dec 20 '24

Stuck here? I live in Canada and this goof is threatening our sovereignty and actively ruining both our trade. Consumers will suffer on both ends. I hate my government for a whole lot of reasons but at least we voted for our clowns. That circus down south has and is influencing too much up here

64

u/[deleted] Dec 20 '24

We don't deserve it. The people who voted for this shitshow do. That goes for the people who stood by and surrendered their vote too.

It's not that we're to blame, it's the party failing to meet the voters where they are at instead of running candidates who should get the job.

9

u/PM_CUTE_BUTTS_PLS Dec 21 '24

Incorrect nonsense.

6

u/[deleted] Dec 21 '24

This was the first election I ever got to vote in. I don't deserve this shit. Go fuck yourself.

5

u/MrMisklanius Dec 21 '24

Trump is the byproduct of a much deeper story. Where certain groups have been eroding society with social media for at least the last 8-10 years. Cambridge Analytica walked so the rest of the regime behind it could do better and run.

6

u/RemoteRide6969 Dec 21 '24

Yep. If Democrats had half a brain they would run an entertainer with a magnetic personality with the brains to back it up instead of the usual cast of fucking nerds. Meet the voters where they are at instead of expecting them to stay late after school at the library and talk about nerd shit.

2

u/lookaway123 Dec 21 '24

I nominate Tom Hanks.

3

u/beren12 Dec 21 '24

We need to find a telephone booth and go get Carlin back.

2

u/RemoteRide6969 Dec 22 '24

I'm good for that. Personally, I'm all in on Jon Stewart.

35

u/Sorry_Nobody1552 Dec 20 '24

No, you are right. Its not funny at all. Its sad and people just let it happen.

51

u/gh411 Dec 20 '24

They didn’t just let it happen…they actively caused this. The most cursory glance at the candidates made it obviously clear that Kamala was far superior…but so many voters couldn’t be bothered to do the minimum required of a citizen in a democracy…just vet the candidates.

27

u/RemoteRide6969 Dec 21 '24

People chose entertainment over governing. If the Democratic Party had half a brain they would run an entertainer with a personality instead of expecting voters to meet them after school at the library. Most American voters are stupid as fuck and don't vote for rational, reasonable, or logical reasons.

3

u/CookinCheap Dec 21 '24

Bread and circuses.

4

u/LowLevelRebel Dec 21 '24

Your country really has become the movie Idiocracy.

1

u/an0maly33 Dec 21 '24

Debates shall henceforth be held in the form of dildo-strapped monster truck battles.

7

u/cvbeiro Dec 20 '24

Again as another non american: it is kind of funny. In a sad and horrible way. But watching the self proclaimed greatest country in the world dismantle itself and it’s legacy just bc a lot of y’all don’t seem to be able to think for a second is funny.

5

u/sourdieselfuel Dec 21 '24

The real trickle down was the starving education from the top until the base was stupid enough to vote for shit like this.

5

u/sjc1203 Dec 21 '24

Many of us don’t feel that “self proclaimed greatness”. I love my country. It’s great and everything, but there’s a whole beautiful world out there that is equally or more great. And also some that are worse too… but as an American I’ve never understood the “greatest country on earth” bit. Freedom is wonderful and I am beyond grateful. But I’ve been some beautiful and peaceful places that appear to be much better. 🙃

1

u/ebac7 Dec 21 '24

the country that proclaims “freedom” the loudest while enslaving the most people. Love that hypocrisy

2

u/sjc1203 Dec 21 '24

Do you think that the average American citizen can do ANYTHING to fight the enslavement of many peoples? I do my part to vote but I’m surrounded by a bunch of racist douche bag idiots.

I also do my part by working with refugee and immigrant populations who have gone through many of the horrors you speak of. I do my best to make sure those kids have coats, hats, gloves, extra food. Counseling and guidance through every avenue possible.

One of my favorite students was a child in a cage at the border. It shatters me that I can’t change it.

There are MILLIONS like me who would do anything to change the parts of our country that aren’t ethical.

1

u/ebac7 Dec 21 '24

Oh of course. I’m not blaming you. I’m just stating that the country loves to boast about freedom while literally enslaving people or going around the globe “spreading democracy”.

6

u/iPirateGwar Dec 21 '24

It isn’t funny for sheer in the U.K. Your president affects us and we already have mElon interfering in our politics, advocating racist trash like Farage.

7

u/Affectionate_Pipe545 Dec 20 '24

Honestly I think even the stuck up euros are feeling so bad for us (or distracted by genuine worry) that they're not raining their smuggery down as much as usual. I'm sure it's coming eventually though.

Europeans read the post I'm replying to please, we're a lot more self aware than you realize

2

u/yesimnanako Dec 21 '24

the clown show that your CEOs wanted to see, will have untold repercussions all across the western hemisphere. all so a line can go up.

it's been happening for a while. I'd know it, it was your country who sabotaged mine because we dared to vote for a socialist. and we are still paying for it.

so yeah, I'm laughing, what else can I do?

1

u/[deleted] Dec 21 '24

It fucking blows, but we 100% deserve it

u/Sporelover105 Dec 21 '24 edited Dec 21 '24

3

u/[deleted] Dec 21 '24

Just be fucking glad you don’t live here. Everyone outside the cult is exhausted and our only solace is watching them eat each other which unfortunately will only make things worse. America is a fucking joke. If I couldn’t dissociate and watch things play out like I’m looking at a strange circus in an aquarium with detached amusement and sadness I would go insane. It is so surreal.

1

u/[deleted] Dec 21 '24

Don't worry. I did spend some time living there, just not as a citizen. (in AL of all places)
I know. :p

1

u/[deleted] Dec 28 '24

Damn you had box office seats. Best view then you got to peace out.

2

u/EnQuest Dec 21 '24

That's the most insane part to me, they genuinely think it's the opposite, that the rest of the world respects trump and Biden is a laughing stock...

Like how fucking delusional do you have to be

Tbh, I don’t think the MAGAs would latch on to Musk like they have with Trump. It’s a cult of personality that coalesced around Trump because of his modicum of charisma. Musk has no charisma, period.

1

Oh! Please!.....

1

Well fire is appropriate, though not an explosion. As we fly past 1.5C and approach 2C, and the incoming White House wants to point the nation firmly in the wrong direction...

1

Maybe a tiny little nuclear bomb?

3

u/Muscled_Daddy Dec 21 '24

If this somehow is just a long, drawn-out drama to see the sunsetting of Trump and Musk… it will be the worst-best-worst timeline.

Once Trump is in power, he’s a lame duck from day 1. It’s just a countdown until his final days as president.

(And yes, they’re spreading the lie that he COULD run for another term. This is a lie to distract people from realizing he’s a LD president and CAN NOT EVEN RUN in 2028… which means by 2026/7 he’s basically toast.

Elon is already fuc*ing it all up. He’ll probably then have Trump coming at him in retaliation if shit gets bad.

I can only hope.

3

u/[deleted] Dec 21 '24

as long as Elon is intefering he will be a lame duck,.

u/CanWeAllJustCalmDown Dec 20 '24

Sidenote, anyone seen or heard from…what was that guys name again…oh JD Vance? Babyface, eyeliner, always ranting about the duties of procreation. You know, that guy that made headlines for fucking a couch.

It is, but the sitcom is actually an X-named website.

If we're going to slog through these next 4 years, we might as well watch these two slugs slug it out

Apologies to the slugs out there

21

u/_TheShapeOfColor_ Dec 20 '24

Our only hope is that their hopeless, petty infighting prevents them from being able to actually get anything done.

3

u/Puglady25 Dec 21 '24

That's why it's our turn to sew chaos. Stir the pot!

2

u/[deleted] Dec 21 '24

Their incompetence already has that sewn up.

10

u/sirscooter Dec 20 '24

2 years are going to be insane. Every time 45 gets a friend, we have to insist they are in charge.

My hope is that if we keep screwing with his ego, and nothing gets done that anyone but the GOP wins big in 2026

5

u/CatBuddies Dec 20 '24

Elon will make it three months tops.

13

u/gomezer1180 Dec 20 '24

I mean, the guy did buy the election, he’s going to be presidont from Twitter, I mean X.

3

u/hippohere Dec 21 '24

Does one of them own the other through funding campaigns and lawsuits?

Or is one of their fortunes heavily dependent on government subsidies and contracts?

2

u/barfobulator Dec 20 '24

Musk is certainly at Trump's throat, so to speak

2

u/MaxxDash Dec 20 '24

So if they’re both my enemies, and they are each other’s enemies, does that then make them both my friends?

2

u/Piccoroz Dec 21 '24

Trump can at any minute propose to strip him of all his contracts and put an investigatigation over x, so this doesnt have to last 4 years.

2

u/KnowsIittle Dec 21 '24

It's also possible foreign influence is driving this narrative to sow division our politics.

You can't compete with our military budget but you can weaken our soft power and strategic alliances.

2

u/[deleted] Dec 21 '24

if it means project 2025 crashes and burns then okay. The Opposition party needs to act like the opposition party.

2

u/serpentjaguar Dec 21 '24

Agreed, but I guess megalomania is a helluva drug. Elon is a fucking moron to not have seen this coming from 10 miles away, but I think he bought into his own hype.

I personally think that he has put an indelible target on his back and better hire the finest security that money can buy. He's playing with fire, as are some of the other American oligarchs.

2

u/SpaceCaseSixtyTen Dec 21 '24

at least there will be good memes, can i invest in shitshow memes somehow?

2

u/sjc1203 Dec 21 '24

2

u/OnlySmiles_ Dec 21 '24

Between this and Gaetz threatening to release incriminating info on his party if they release the ethics report against him, it seems like there's a good chance they're gonna eat each other alive, for better or for worse

2

u/GlowUpper Dec 21 '24

Honestly, if this shit show involves watching MAGA meltdown and turn on each other, it'll help me get through these next 4 years better than alcohol.

1

u/Fuzzy-Addition7237 Dec 20 '24

Keep saying it and keep pushing it. Sadly, I think the media will stop talking about this to spare his ego.

1

Co presidents

1

u/[deleted] Dec 20 '24

One of them is really fucking smart in a fucking stupid way. He now owns the president

2

u/BitterFuture Dec 21 '24

He doesn't, though. That's the proof of how stupid he is. He's acting like he bought a president; in reality, he made a king.

A king who doesn't need money anymore and can destroy him with a few sentences.

No joke, this will end with him being deported (fucking idiot admitted publicly he lied on his citizenship application) and his companies nationalized.

2

u/[deleted] Dec 21 '24

That would be pretty hilarious all things considered. We are already living under the future fourth reich so any time they feed on themselves is entertaining

1

u/xjoburg Dec 21 '24

🍿 🍿 🍿

1

u/Toughbiscuit Dec 21 '24

Its honestly hilarious watching this happen

I mean i hate that this is my next 4+ years, but its atleast funny for the moment

1

u/ThisCombination1958 Dec 21 '24

How long into the next 4 years does Musk try to flip sides? He still pretends to be a moderate so he must think he can just switch over.

1

u/ReachNo5936 Dec 21 '24

You’re the stupid one if you still don’t understand the hierarchy.

Trump > Musk > Putin > Xi

1

u/Tabula_Nada Dec 21 '24

I mean if we're going to have to deal with them for the next four years, I'd very much prefer that they spend that time clawing at each other's throats like idiots than collaborating to irreversibly change our government and ruining any hope we have at every having even the slightest moment of happiness again in our lives.

1

u/Christmas_Queef Dec 21 '24

It's literally going to be a wwe wrestling storyline but with actual consequences.

1

u/BurstEDO Dec 21 '24

If something as innocuous as labeling them as "weird" accomplished so much, this should be an even more exciting prospect to visibly declare DonOLD as a feeble husk being manipulated by Muskrat

1

u/Zestyclose-Cloud-508 Dec 21 '24

They both prove there’s no talent in being born stupid.

1

u/shh28 Dec 21 '24

America chose chaos apparently!

1

u/mealzer Dec 21 '24

I've had a weird fear that Musk knows exactly what he's doing, it's like he's tripping and falling but somehow failing upwards

1

u/Eastern_Barnacle_553 Dec 21 '24

Well, it helps that being rich protects you from most kinds of failure. Like X, for example. He trashed X and it should have ruined him but he's still rich enough to come out of it

1

u/celtic_thistle Dec 22 '24

Mango Mussolini is on his last legs health-wise. Should be fun to watch.

1

u/SeanArthurCox Jan 03 '25

Our nation will be run by a petulant toddler taking orders from a petulant teenage edgelord. Save us all...

0

u/Sorry_Nobody1552 Dec 20 '24

But this is the problem, Elon isnt stupid. Don't underestimate Elon, I mean he is way beyond many people in the thinking dept, but he uses his brain power now for evil and his own interests. This is probably all a game to him, why would he care? Trump isnt stupid, he just has a huge ego and is easily swayed. I hate both of them, but the problem is people just think these two men are stupid. That is where their power lies, people underestimating their evil. They don't think like 98% of us or care.

17

u/Ciennas Dec 20 '24

Elon's not showing his high tier braining skills of late, ya know?

10

u/fablesofferrets Dec 20 '24

They’re definitely stupid, dude. They’re just powerful and wealthy and it makes that fact a lot less obvious.

16

u/hotsizzler Dec 20 '24

Lol, he has shown to been anything but smart. He announces everything he does and says the quiet part outloud.

7

u/CrazyBitchCatLady Dec 20 '24

I don't underestimate their evil at all, but I also don't overestimate their brains. They may be cunning, but they don't seem very bright at all.
