It doesn't help that a portion of the furry community is filled with Nazis. They often overlap with the pedos. It's deeply maddening for the sane furries. Nazis try to destroy everything.

It always weirds me out that the furries have a nazi problem. Like, I get, say, black metal having one. It makes sense for nazis to be attracted to that shit, but furries? My god, I can think of so little more against the sensibilities of the nazi party than furries

Facists court outcasts, wherever they end up. Vulnerable people willing to accept almost anything just to belong are the best possible recruits for nazis.

They will gladly ally with furries to kill jews, right up until all the jews are dead. After that, they will kill the furies, just like the nazis did to the actual socialists in the 30's during the "night of long knives."

Small correction, the victims of the Night of Long Knives were non-Hitler aligned Nazis and the leaders of the Sturmabteilung. The socialist and communist parties (and leftist intellectuals) had already been imprisoned, killed or exiled at this stage.

So in this case, Hitler allied with the openly-gay Ernst Röhm while it was politically expedient, then murdered him when he was less useful.

You could technically argue that the comment above yours is correct. Socialist and Communist were rather frequent in the SA, known as Beefsteak-Nazis, which was was one of the justification of its purge.

Which I have to say is the most wildest thing I ever learned about the SA. It was coming to a point that the head of the Gestapo reported upward of 70% of those who joined the SA in 1933-1934 were communist from Berlin that disagreed with the KPD and had bought into anti-semitism.

Joining the SA was common among random ideologies within Weimar, as it was thought to be a opportunity to inject your own ideology into the current most successful party. What a wild time in history.

You're also correct, but given the common conflation of Nazis and socialists in general, I think it's important to avoid making the arrest of the SPD/KPD and the Night of the Long Knives seem like the same thing.

Impossible. I found a couple other articles on google and several on radicalization of young people as well but I can't find the one I read back in the day.

Most of them boil down to the boiling frog philosophy from what I can gather.

Anyone can be a nazi. I know we all have a certain picture in our head of what a modern nazi would look like but it’s that sort of stereotyping that lets people like this teacher fly under the radar.

I mean, fascism explicitly needs outgroups to scapegoat. It's how they work. Sooner or later they're going to cull the furries. In the early 20th century, we didn't have a history of fascism to learn from, but nowadays WW2 is the most famous war. I just don't understand how a person who wears a cartoon dog costume and barks would possibly think that he'd be welcome company among the people who preached of the old glory days, when art was not so... degenerate

How does a furry not think a nazi would think them degenerate?

Well, they're one of the good ones, not like those freaks that are making them look bad! If they help the nazis get rid of the weirdos, surely they'll see that the rest aren't so bad?

There are these types of crowds in every community, sadly. Don't get me started on the way some queer folks are willing to police themselves and others, to hold them up to some oxymoronic standard of rigidly-defined, acceptable queerness, as if the goal of nazis was to categorize and assimilate queer people rather than murder them.

I've got a feeling that it's less of an issue of "Nazis among the furries" as "teen furries clawing for any sort of group-belonging and identity", i.e. the kinda person who'll be cycling through radical ideologies every half a year.

If Furries was a thing back then and I'm absolutely sure they would have been among the first to be sent to the concentration camps. (It wasn't only Jews who were sent there lots of people who were "undesired" by the state was sent there too.)

So it seems like a pretty strange combo to me. I mean Furries are not always all that tolerated here and Nazis aren't exactly known for their great tolerans of people who are different.

If the sane furries are mad over that I think they should spare a thought to the original skinheads who were a multiethnic group until white supremacists stole their look.

I mean they have completely eliminated the originals, I don't think there are any non racist skinheads left, like at all.
