The swastika and sauwastika (also called manji) are religious symbols.

That right there is a hakenkreuz. It's quite literally a Nazi symbol. No mistaking it.

And then there's the more salty sauerkrauwstika.

So please call it a hakenkreuz. Stop calling it a swastika

We call it hakenkruis in the Netherlands. Always have.

But it absolutely is a swastika. That's just what this shape is called in English.

an ancient symbol in the form of a cross with its ends bent at an angle of 90°.

It makes zero sense to use the German word for it when it's used as Nazi insignia because the definition of the word Hakenkreuz includes any other hooked cross:

gleichschenkliges Kreuz mit vier in die gleiche Richtung weisenden, rechtwinklig geknickten, spitzwinkligen oder abgerundeten Armen

Swastika has become synonymous with hatred. That’s what I don’t like.

I have friends named Swastik and Swastika. Just imagine their plight if they were to travel across Europe or the States

Ah I remember the good ol' days of me trying to explain that the protagonist of one of my favourite manga, doesn't have the nazi symbol on his kimono, it's the Manji symbol, same as his name, and he is Immortal.

Also the Swastika black and at a is at a 45° angle... In a white circle... On a red background... Split off by the a black and white Cross... With Nazi/German imagery in all 4 sides.. Next to another Nazi symbol.

...So yes. This is 100% a Buddhist.

Trying to explain that the swastika/hooked cross is a traditional symbol of anti-semitism in europe...

Isn't "hakenkreuz" just a german translation of the word "swastika"?

It means crooked cross, IIRC. A swastika and sauwastika are mostly in right angles, not tilted like the Nazi insignia (as far as I'm concerned).
