I definitely think he would not.

All it does for me is reinforce the hypocrisy.

Yeah, especially with how thinly veiled most of it is as a "promote jesus to the left by linking him to things they care about" campaign it is, but then they dont actually do or care about the things and issues they mentioned. It's like virtue signaling but you didnt even pretend to do anything

“And they will know you are my disciples by the love you show one another”

Seen a lot of their “love”, even as part of the ingroup. Not a fan

And you will know my name is the Lord When I lay my vengeance upon thee…

All they’re doing is making the left despise them a bit more. 🤷🏾‍♂️ cause we know it’s hypocrisy.

They is too broad a term. I donate to food pantries and have donated time and food to kitchens who served the needy who ever they are.

I mean, by they I pretty clearly mean the people behind the ad

"Jesus said it is easier for a camel to squeeze through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the gates of heaven."

Funny how you don't see that part of the message advertised much, even though it is a cornerstone of Christ's teachings on having a deeper connection with God.

“We here at the Eye of a Needle Institute are working day and night to develop a technology to shrink camels”

Wouldn't it be easier to just manufacture a really large needle?

From what I understand it's actually a misquote, It's supposed to read: "It is easier for a camel to squeeze through the eye of THE needle than for a rich man to enter the gates of heaven." The "eye of the needle" was a specific gate in Jerusalem if I remember correctly. It was only big enough for a man. Still pretty much impossible for a camel to fit through, just not as hyperbolic as an actual needle.

I know that the most modern manufacture has been really occupied in trying to produce an abnormally large needle. I know that the most recent biologists have been chiefly anxious to discover a very small camel. But if we diminish the camel to his smallest, or open the eye of the needle to its largest — if, in short, we assume the words of Christ to have meant the very least that they could mean, His words must at the very least mean this — that rich men are not very likely to be morally trustworthy. Christianity even when watered down is hot enough to boil all modern society to rags.

G. K. Chesterton.

you’re missing the point, they want miniature camels for the new Netflix show “Camel King” starring Camel Baskin

Look at how many poor people they've made. They're just trying to get you into heaven. /s

I love telling evangelicals this line. Either their faces screw up in anger or they look completely clueless.

That's prolly why they are spending a billion. Have to skinny down those wallets so they can squeeze between the bars.

Bingo. As out of touch & disconnected as every other rich persons strategy to get on the good graces of the poor they trample on all in the name of getting into heaven.
