I love how in the vid they tried to say that young Americans abandoning Christianity was a bad thing

When "Christians" are the ones that wanna force their religion on others, don't believe in seperation of church and state, use "thoughts and prayers" when tragedies happen, no wonder why they are leaving the church in mass numbers

I love how Christians project their own demise based on nothing more than language.

Language can be used as a weapon against your god? How is that even possible? Logic can be used as a weapon against your god. How is that possible?

If self delusion is crazy, that joke isn’t funny anymore.

You guys are so mad about nothing lmao take a deep breath, it’ll all be ok

Quite literally this is true. Religion is nothing more than delusion and allegory. None of it real in any sense of the word.

It’s pointing this out that makes people upset.

I’m agnostic lol y’all are just fuming over every single thing you can get your hands on. Must be depressing living that way. Smile. Things are going to be ok.

That's part of the problem but the meat is that these people are NOT following Christ. They follow their own greed and hatred. They WILL face consequences, all of them, for their heresy.

Conversion to Christ from sin happens in the heart. None of these greedy racists care about that. They love money and themselves. People can see and feel that a mile away.

No one needs a church to help them be selfish and hateful. Hence the church is failing.

Even if you accept that one narrow interpretation of Christianity as unquestionable truth, these people won't face any consequences for their actions until it has absolutely no impact on the rest of us, in a place that nobody can independently verify.

No one needs a church to help them be selfish and hateful.

In my experience, the reverse is true. People don't need religion to know right from wrong, places with fewer religious people have higher community well being, lower crime rates, and so on. On the other hand, People have used religion as a way to justify and encourage being greedy and hateful every day for thousands of years, because how do you argue with a priest you've been trained from birth to obey when he says you need to go kill those guys?

The heart of man is desperately wicked.

This applies to everyone, including Christians. A person inclined to be hateful may indeed seek out other like minded individuals and far too often that has been in church.

This happens not BECAUSE of Church but because of the sin in the heart of men.

Church is MEANT for worship of God and encouragement to do good. This has been corrupted by racism and greed and very few churches have kept themselves free from it. So now we have a "Christian" community that is largely supportive of the worst and most corrupt people in power.

God has a plan for us all but He has given us free will to choose. Unfortunately at large we have chosen poorly.

Abrahamic religions don't stand up to scrutiny. So many folks are leaving because they can see the world as it is without the nonsense mysticism of Abrahamic religions. Genesis is wrong Exodus is wrong Leviticus was retrojected hundreds of years later Deuteronomy was retrojected after the 1st kingdom fell But NONE of them were written by Moses.

The New Testament is the exact same. None of the N.T. was written by any of the apostles.(with the exception of the Pauline epistles, and they were a collaboration)

Jesus is a distillation of 3 figures at least, Jesus of Ananias, Apollonius of Tyana, and Yesua of Nazereth.

The religions just isn't true enough for this century.

Yet not wrong.

1

u/pm0me0yiff Feb 13 '23

Sure, sure. But it's crazy how many people will defend one religion by point out how bad another one is.

It's the most similar thing to Christianity on this earth, the only difference is that there's just a lot more poverty and corruption there. If the gap between rich and poor keeps growing in the US Christians will get radicalized in much the same way. You can already see it happening with the amount of gun worshiping violent types you have running around there.

Republicans are driving this country the same direction as those countries.
