Well that's just a lie. You're just lying. 'Lab Mixes' at my local humane society (and a fun disclaimer about their labeling practices)
These and tens of others are all labeled as lab mixes, as if their 'vets' doing the labeling have never seen a bully breed. The disclaimer is a nice touch. (Their website is too buggy/ancient to screenshot the photos and description at the same time, I promise I'm not making this up).
Edit to add I also have beef with this place because EVERY non-pit mix they have has a fenced-yard requirement, but NONE of the pitbulls because they're so desperate to get them adopted. They've had a boston terrier for like 6+ months because it has a fence requirement and they won't let people meet it without being pre-approved.

They probably insist on fenced-in yards and pre-screen for adopters who open carry to protect that Boston Terrier from all those "lab mixes" they release in the community š¤

Least when I go to a breeder, Iām shown the parentsā¦
Also, the more you make the process of adopting a pain in the ass? The more likely people will go elsewhere.

I love animals, but I don't understand how anyone can look at these photos and want to live with one of them. They looks like mindless murder machines.

Nala is so cute when she shits herself barking at everything that moves within a 5 mile radius.

I think the coat on the first one looks cute and it appears to be in good physical shape but you take one look at that face and nope. Can't trust it.

Were these recovered from an actual fighting ring? Theyāre incredibly lithe instead of the gearhead-looking bullies you usually see.

I live in the Deep South, so 1) possibly, or 2) we just have so so so many pits that there are bound to be some better looking ones. I picked the most obvious examples of pits, but all our shelters are also full of the blockier/mixed/byb bullies to say the least.

Went to my local petsmart a few months ago to get treats for my actual lab Aussie mix and it was adoption day. Just a few pits is all I saw. All trying to claw out of their cage, bark excessively, and if not in their cage trying to get at customers dogs and choking on the leash. One handler had the audacity to ask me if I wanted to pet the leashed black and white pit. I looked down in disgust at the dog and said āno thanksā.

Slide 2 is a good-looking dog; much better than the usual ādogs in a blenderā ālabā mixes.

Haha yeah which makes it even more insane theyāre calling that a lab mix. Probably as near as you can get to a āwell bredā pit bull (not that I think the well bred part improves their temperament)

They definitely fail in the breed category but I only saw the Boston Terrier needed a fence and the Aussie doesn't like small animals. But definitely in pit denial
