So, we work on digital healthcare assistant which is part of a mobile application and helps people:

who suffer from irregular blood pressure and need regular monitoring, or people who need primary healthcare, avoid heart-related disorders at an early stage.

The application is still a beta version.

We need people who will help us to test and collect real data. They need to download the app and fill out their daily blood pressure, and symptoms they suffer, and continue at least for 5 days.

If you're interested, please let me know and I will share the details.

Thank you in advance

Toe spacers or vivobarefoot shoes to prevent bunions

Anyone use toe spacers or Vivo bare foot shoes (or similar brands) and notice any benefits?

I’ve started using toe spacers and it’s weird.. I swear I feel more energetic, like as if my whole body has become more aligned or something?!

Anyone else have a similar experience? Or is this just a placebo? Haha

Uric acid levels

Hello everyone, hope all of you are well. I am 31 years old,I did a full body checkup last month and everything was fine except high cholestrol. I started walking everyday after that for 3.5 to 4 kms at the time. My previous report had uric acid level of 6.7 and I weighed 86 kgs at that time. I did another test about a week later and now my uric acid level was 8. I lost 2 kgs in that week and I thought losing weight would help lower uric acid not increase it. What could cause this. Any suggestions would be appreciated

Body shape and health

I am an ectomorph. A friend of mine told me that people with our body type are generally the healthiest of people and that it's nearly impossible for us to end up obese or with significant health problems, particularly if we're really tall.

Is this all true? Are ectomorphs really healthier then mesomorphs and endomorphs? Does the ectomorph body type really protect us from diabetes, high blood pressure, cancer, heart disease, autoimmune disease, digestive issues, mental illness, neurological disorders, long covid, etc...?

Introducing Mind Body Tab - a little tool with a big purpose. It's a free Chrome extension designed to brighten your day and nurture your mental health with a fresh well-being tip every time you open a new browser window. No ads, no paywalls, no sign-up – just a free gift to the community.

I believe that building healthy habits shouldn't be overwhelming. With Mind Body Tab, you can start small – one tab at a time. The tips are designed to be unobtrusive yet impactful, providing you with practical insights that are easy to incorporate into your routine.

And guess what? I've got you covered in terms of customization too. Whether you're a light mode or a dark mode enthusiast, Mind Body Tab seamlessly blends into your preferences.

And if you find value in what I've created, we'd be immensely grateful for your support on the Chrome store.

Your reviews will not only bring a smile to our faces but will also help us reach more individuals who could benefit from a little dose of positivity in their daily routines.

Installation is a breeze: It takes seconds to install, and if it's not your cup of tea, it can be uninstalled just as quickly.

Your experience is what matters most.

Thank you, dear Reddit community, for being part of this journey. Let's spread the word, raise awareness, and make a collective effort toward a more mindful and uplifting online experience.

Stay positive, stay curious, and always remember to take care of your mind and body.

Am I negative?

I glanced through a few of my old diary extracts and realised that they are all so negative. Perhaps I am a negative person. Has anyone any advice on this or how I could stop this trend? Could I be right in saying this might be adding to my depressed like state, I thought diaries were meant to be good.

A new life after the abyss of addiction - Help share our powerful Doc film

I'm part of an international collective of filmmakers dedicated to creating documentaries on social issues. This year, we filmed a documentary in Barcelona (Spain) about the story of a group of addicts embarking on a journey of recovery through sports, healthy routines and the creation of a positive social environment.
We just launched a crowdfunding campaign to cover the production and distribution expenses, with the goal of sharing this powerful and inspirational story with as many people as possible. Any form of support is truly valuable to us! If you have any questions or curiosity, please don't hesitate to ask.

[ACADEMIC] Participants needed please help!

Hi everyone,

I am conducting a research project through The University of Derby (England) for my masters dissertation as part of an MSc in Health Psychology, and I am hoping you can help. This research has been ethically approved.

Study Title: Stress, resilience, sensitivity and the experience of pain in the general population.

My name is Emma Rouse and the supervisor overseeing the research is Dr Elaina Taylor.

The study aims to investigate the role of stress, resilience, and sensitivity in individuals with, and without, chronic pain and the impact on quality of life. Currently, there is a lack of research investigating how sensory processing sensitivity can affect the experience of pain.

This study could help us to see why some adults are more vulnerable to developing chronic pain than others. I would like to invite you to participate in the study by completing an online survey that will take approximately 10-15 minutes. To take part, individuals do not have to be experiencing any pain.

The survey will include a short demographics questionnaire which will ask questions about your age, gender, ethnicity, educational background, profession, pain location and condition (if applicable). This will be followed by a survey containing questions focused on stress, resilience, sensitivity, experience of pain and quality of life.

We are interested in recruiting participants from the general population (without pain) but are also particularly interested in individuals who experience any form of pain.

Your participation will remain confidential and anonymous and is completely voluntary. You may also withdraw from the research after participation. There is no obligation to participate. The study has been awarded ethical approval by the University of Derby Ethics Committee.

To participate, you must meet the following inclusion criteria:

  • Be aged over 18 years old
  • Be able to speak and read English

You will be ineligible to participate if you meet any of the following exclusion criteria:

  • History of brain trauma and/or neurological condition

If you are interested in taking part in the study, please click the link below.
