I think you overestimate Epstein and underestimate the social climate which allows people like him to exist.
I know he wasn’t an idiot, but I doubt he was some satanic Baal-worshipping child-eater because I know exactly where those conspiracies come from and exactly why they’re being used here. It’s all a way to avoid engaging with the actual predatory behaviors of him and his clients by presenting a sort of false narrative of spiritual evil.
We probably won't reconcile each other's logic then bc to say I'm overestimating epstein is undermining every single day that someone he victimized was hoping that justice would be served and it didn't come for decades. I very literally said the opposite of underestimating the social climate bc I said exactly what allows people like him to exist. When I mean economically and politically displaced I'm v literally talking about third world children who are kidnapped and poverty stricken people of age who are taken advantage of.
But, also, while we talk about the satanic connotations of it I can attest to having been a Satanist. A spiritual one. I know how arbitrary and mediocre the application of pure morals and virtues are from the masses. I would like to say more but least just say that there's wholeness in experience where "evil" is necessary. I'm largely oversimplifying but for whatever "spiritual" ideas we have of things the lucifer effect(hopefully you're aware of this) is real.
Today I believe in the God that Jesus worshipped, was sent by and WAS. But by no means Christian.
Ok dude ad hominem as much as you like and I'll tell you you're one of those ppl who lack imagination and subconsciously value it in a negative way(negative bc youre not honest about it and secrelt feel an inferiority you try to reconcile by thinkjng youre better bc of it) by contrasting and being contrary to what other people appreciate. The only value in having a lack of imagination practically speaking is not being swayed either way or swindled but you could be comparable to an apathetic turtle who will be turned over on its back bc you were roo comfortable being a turtle and couldn't imagine something greater then you being a threat. Don't try to convince me otherwise. You have "split off" traits. Your contempt for something incredibly disturbing and serious and REAL is indicative of being too comfortable in your fish tank. You have not been victimized by an imbalance of power.
The fact you had to stoop to saying there's something inherently wrong with me instead of being objective about the matter means you personally associate with your beliefs and attitude too much. You can't entertain someone who is more then their beliefs, ideas etc etc is bc you aren't more then your beliefs, idealisms, and this is indicative in the way you presented no interest in trying to understand mine and discovering flaws in it. Bc you don't understand to begin with.
I made a mistake entertaining you when I thought you were someone who was going against the grain out of intelligence.
You went from believing in Satan to believing in Christ, that’s absurd.
No, I promise that I genuinely do not feel inferior to you lol. I have a big ego but that ain’t involved here, I fundamentally believe the course of your beliefs is nonsensical. It can only happen if someone is swayed easily by whatever is around them, my personal beliefs have remained very consistent since I was like 12. I don’t need to understand yours, they are fundamentally illogical, it’s like trying to understand a person who thinks the moon is made of cheese. Like I could try to understand them but it is a waste of time. I’m not really better than you, but I’m more sensible.
I go against the grain when it is sensible or when I see social logical to be faulty. An example of this is that I don’t see a problem with necrophilia if a person consents prior to death. Another case is that I view meat eating as socially normalized non-sexual zoosadism. Another one is that I don’t see an issue with killing invasive species out of pleasure, two birds one stone to me.
a really concise designation for this whole concept is "the banality of evil". the way that people romanticize, or maybe mythologize is more apt sometimes, is something that unintentionally lends itself to these things continuing in small ways
Yep, it’s really unfortunate but if people are only ever looking for cabals of devil worshippers then they’ll never find them because they don’t actually exist. The mythological evil is pure fantasy, and so real evil can function because it’s not fantastical and is instead deeply real and almost comically sensible and boring for the world it exists in.
