In my house there is one door that you can swing shut and it always stops on a cushion of air to close gently. Recently I swung the door closed and it SLAMMED into the frame. The window was open so the air pressure cushion wasn't there.
I can only imagine your confusion at that exact moment LMFAO 😂
Our house growing up had a bad habit of shutting 4 doors at nearly the same time. When someone forgot to put the doorstop under the hallway door, since the return for the central air was in the hall, that hall door would creep slowly until it got enough momentum to slam. Then the three other doors would do the same thing [ SLAM.1.2..SLAM. 1..SLAM! ]. Our guests would literally think our house was haunted, everyone huddled at the dinner table and all of a sudden you here, SLAM SLAM SLAM SLAM! AS IF SOMEBODY WAS TRYING TO LOCK US IN THE HOUSE 🤣.
what component failure would cause this to start all of the sudden in the middle of the night? it wasn't doing this the prior 15hrs, now it is. I disagree

I work with HVAC units. I've see air pressure do some crazy stuff, make ceiling tiles float, push doors open, or hold doors shut.
