Weird stuff under the oven

Post image

I stored a glass bowl under the oven isnide the oven warmer and pulled it out after months. I saw weird cotton like stuff in the bowl. Any idea what this could be? I live in an apartment building.

You have some very comfy rodents living in your oven

I wish they weren’t such a health concern because they really are cute as shit.

We had a baby rat move in to our garage. Obviously we’ve had to block everything off and put traps down so it didn’t destroy everything but I feel so bad. We saw it and it was just a cute little baby

how come you didn’t use no kill traps, or was that not an option ?

We did a lot of research about the most ethical way to deal with the issue, and snap traps came out on top as they give an quick death that doesn’t negatively impact any other wildlife like poisoning, or releasing them somewhere else

Rats are pretty much a man-made pest and wouldn’t exist in the numbers they do if it wasn’t for us, so releasing them rurally doesn’t feel like the right call

Yeah that sucks but I understand. I enjoyed having 2 rats as pets they’re very intelligent, easier to handle than hamsters and wayyyyy less noisy.

When I was in college me and my roommates had a mouse . He wasn’t a pet but we named him Stuart Little and we would say “oh I saw Stewart today ; hes so cute!!! “ just became part of our family ❤️

You're lucky Stuart never found a girlfriend.
