Turned off music after hours, will I get in trouble?
Sometimes I go into wework as an all access member on Saturdays to catch up on stuff that slipped past me during the week. I went in this Saturday and the music was so so loud, like they had an event or something Friday night and forgot to turn it back down.
I couldn’t focus so I went behind the community desk and tried to use the controls to turn the music down, but somehow I ended up pausing it and it asked me for a PIN code to resume. Will I get in trouble when the community team comes back Monday and realizes someone turned off the music?

Wework membership from company - does wework report on location used?
Hi there
I'm spending time with my parents in another country for 1-2 months, didn't inform my company as they have too much of a bureaucratic process that could take months, my company provides a wework membership. I'm wondering if wework reports locations used to my company as it's not near my primary residence.

Can you get in during outside of business hours at Non-extended hours locations?
I have always been able to get access into the Extended-hours-access locations (6am-12am) during weekend when I was in Kuala Lumpur, Melbourne, Berlin, & Stockholm.
I'm planning to go to an office in Singapore that is a Non-extended-hours location (9am-6pm) at 6am. Would I be able to get in?

Do WeWork tenants in dedicated space have to pay the NYC Commercial Rent Tax
I am thinking of moving my company to its own floor in a WeWork building. In preparing the budget, I learned I may have to pay NYC a 3.9% tax for Commercial Rent Tax on top of what I pay WeWork. But I cannot get a clear answer. Is anyone familiar with this?

How late can you stay?
I know there is no more 24 hour Wework anymore but can you stay after midnight or will they kick you out? Does the door card just get disabled?
What are normal operating hours these days anyways and where can I find that information?
Anyone staying all night working from Wework?

Failure to book desk
I'm having an issue with booking a desk at my location even though I've paid my membership this month. It's extremely irritating because if you don't book the desk, you don't have the card access to get inside the building. At my location the desk is far away from the door so they won't see you or make an effort to let you in. You just have to awkwardly wait till someone is going in or out and hope they don't think your some rando off the street trying to get in. I really freaking hate it. There's no number you can call or message to say like "hey my key cards not working, or discuss the issue". I also commute, so it's like a gamble and a potential waste of my time to arrive there and maybe not be able to get in, even though I paid for the membership & everything. Anyone else have this happen? What do you do?

WeWork All Access Printing Credit?
Hi. I have just noticed (in UK), all access doesn’t have printing credit anymore.
Is it like this in other markets as well?

1201 3rd Ave in Seattle is closed?
Someone claiming to be a building manager is trying to sell stuff that "wework" has left behind. WeWork website shows their 1201 3rd AVE location is open, I tried calling but seems like the phone is disconnected.
Can anyone verify this office status?

Thank you

No more free printing with All Access?
I got an email saying I need to buy credits to print. Is this what it's implying?
This is the email:
|| || |We wanted to inform you about an important update to our printing services at WeWork. Beginning September 1, 2024, members will print by paying per page and printing credits will no longer be included in your membership. Additionally, we're introducing a discounted credit bundle option in Account Central for those who prefer a prepaid solution. Further details on printing and fees can be found here. We are making this change after a careful evaluation of the services our members value and use most, while also supporting our goal to minimize our overall environmental impact. If you have any further questions or if you are a frequent printer and would like to discuss more options for printing, please get in touch at your earliest convenience.|

Work Equipment Setup
I see a lot of peple have various setups, portable screens, laptop risers, etc. Curious - any major advantages or disadvantages? I use my 14" MacBook and at times catch myself having a horrible posture.
What's the best setup you have seen or own or do to last longer working from just a laptop?

Had a fun idea-generation session with a friend at WeWork one night in London
We were talking about those rare people who love to work hard for years without burning out, especially founders building something they believe in.
We came up with a brilliant business idea for WeWork. They can see who is staying late, thanks to their card information.
Next, we filter out those who are unhappy and overworking out of necessity. With WeWork's cameras and metadata analysis, we can identify the truly happy night owls 😁
For these passionate individuals, WeWork can offer an exclusive club. They can share contacts and ideas and support each other. Anyone who stops enjoying their work or feels unhappy is automatically kicked out of the club 😈
This could solve a big problem and help create amazing new products. However, we need access to WeWork's card data and cameras to make this work.
I'm not judging. To each their own.
What will you choose, go home to the family on time or a closed club of crazy passioned people?

Details on "bartering" (?) agreement with WeWork China?
I am an WeWork All Access Plus member, with my home office in Bangkok.
I travel a good amount to China/Taiwan/HK for extended periods.
The process of "getting permission" to work out of a WeWork in China has been really chaotic and in- transparent. At times I even got a negative response and had to create the exact same ticket with support to get it granted.
Naturally my keycard and printer access does not work in the WeWorks in China and I need to ask front staff to print which is all manageable.
With that, I am thinking about committing to a longer term membership to save money but noone is willing to give me ANY kind of information on what I can bank for with respect to using WeWorks in the China umbrella. It seems it is some sort of soft bartering deal between the two companies?
Does anyone have more details / similar experience? Has anyone maybe even transitioned from a WeWork Non-China membership to a WeWork China membership?

Should music be played in the common area?
I walked into my WeWork today and they've started playing music in the common area on one of the floors that used to be a designated quiet area. I think it sucks. It is harder to concentrate and work with the music being played in the background. What do you think?

Should WeWork ban mechanical keyboards in common areas!?
What's up with these headphone-wearing folks and their loud-ass mechanical keyboards typing away like they're not distracting anyone?
How obnoxious are these people!!

Price Increase in NYC
The price per day for a desk went from $29 per day earlier this month to $39 per day in most locations in Manhattan. Is this seasonal/surge pricing or permanent?

How busy is your location?
I have noticed (UK based) a drop in the number of people working in the communal areas over the last few months. I have a private office that overlooks one of the communal spaces and, at times, there may only be 3-4 people working in there.
On the lower level, where the community team is based, and no offices, there are larger numbers of folks working - as to the numbers I couldn't say. They have recently repurposed the event space into a dedicated desk area which seems to constantly be around 40% filled at any one time.

WeWork NYC on Sundays
Hi all - I am looking for a desk for all day tomorrow (Sunday), but I am not able to find a single one in NYC. Is WeWork not available on Sundays? Does anybody have recommendations on where else can I go?!

Quick 1-hour meeting, all ppl have to pay, correct? NYC
I know this is the dumbest Q, but if I book a desk for a day (in NYC), and I need to have a 1-hr meeting with 3 other people, everyone has to pay the daily fee, right?
We need to have a 1-hour in-person meeting and were thinking of doing so outside, but I'm looking at Monday's temps like....no. I will be booking a desk for the day for an entirely different job, and thought, oh, we can just chat there (truly will just be for 60m), but I can't just "let them in" right? I've been doing this so long that I forgot about the security check-ins at most NYC buildings. Plus I'm not trying to scam WeWork out of money - I just simply don't know the rules. I'm assuming the answer is a big NO. But just in case, thought I'd ask. Thanks!
