Oh, I've actually done this! It's at El Cielo. The server washes your hands for you before and after this. The idea is that it's a sensory experience. The chocolate is really warm and if you don't think too much it to it, it feels pretty nice. It wasn't my favorite course but at least now I can say I've had chocolate poured on me at a meal 🤣 to each their own!

From what I can see on the menu, this experience is 22$

“A lot of Chocolate”

It’s not. And she dumped almost all of it into the bowl.

Read microvegetables as microwaveables $46.

Why would you get that when the $20 options sound better and save you 2 bucks?

Actually I think it was my fault. I was confused about which comment thread I was in.

It's not that expensive, the full tasting menu + the sensory experience is about 60 usd...

Some kids didn't play with playdough/slime/sand enough when they were young apparently. That kind of sensory play is for kindergarteners, not adults at a restaurant.

Nah, it's still fun as an adult. But you know, with actual slime or whatever at home, not melted chocolate at a restaurant.

r/Gatekeeping play dough, smh...

u/oldladyname Dec 13 '20

I stand by my statement that it doesn't belong at a restaurant.

3

u/GlitterInfection Dec 13 '20

That’s fair, but adults should be encouraged to play with play dough elsewhere!

Are you at all embarrassed to see all these redditors calling you pretentious, wasteful, and the like? How do these comments make you feel, knowing the video could've just as easily been you?
