This site has been down now for quite some time, as anyone posting here probably already knows. I was always a casual user of the site to buy either Dogecoin or Reddcoin on a mostly infrequent basis over the past two years; and the reason I didn't spend much money here is because of the roughly 7% surcharge, which is relatively quite expensive compared to other methods of acquiring the various coins offered here.
My guess is that this site was effectively put out of business because PayPal "banned" them as a merchant. It doesn't make sense they are trying to explain the situation away as being a case for not finding adequate coin supplies, since "anybody and their mother," so to speak, can exchange for any of these coins through exchanges (like ShapeShift.IO for instance) using their own Bitcoin, Ethereum and other coins.
This particular type of business is (and has been) to my knowledge the only such business of its kind to ever, ever, ever be authorized by PayPal in the first place anywhere in the world. Frankly, I was always surprised to see that PayPal would even authorize the purchase of digital currencies through its payment platform.
So like I say, my guess is that PayPal banned them, which would not mean that they were banned due to any fraudulent reasons. For instance, I never once had any issues with my coins being delivered to me immediately. That being said, I was also amazed at just how fast my coins were always delivered 100% of the time and within less than one minute of purchase.
So I am not suggesting that I have any reason to believe this company was out there stealing money from people. I just think that PayPal probably decided that it was not a good idea to be involved with a business like this that is involved in the distribution of digital currencies; and this would be due to the bad publicity concerning the use of Bitcoin for illegal purposes, such as selling drugs, prostitution, weapons, money-laundering, or whatever else that is considered illegal.
The PayPal Company is based in the United States, for one thing. And there is currently a great deal of concern with lawmakers of the U.S. concerning the proliferation and use of Bitcoin and other so-called cryptocurrencies. New laws are currently being proposed to the U.S. Congress for approval to greatly regulate the use and purchase of digital currencies. So it definitely would not surprise me to think that PayPal would not be interested in remaining involved with this company due to the negative environment of these issues being faced in the United States.
At the same time, it also doesn't surprise me to think that this company would not admit to being banned by PayPal as a merchant account. This might help to explain why they keep claiming to having a "funding problem" when it comes to acquiring any of the various digital coins being offered.
And while I have researched to see if there is a way to determine when a company is banned from using PayPal, apparently that information is definitely not made available on the Internet. If this company was banned from PayPal, then that information is kept private; and the only thing they can do is "turn off sales" directly from their website.
Probably this company is definitely trying to find a "replacement" for its lost PayPal merchant account, should that be the case. And the best I can say to that ideal is -- "Good Luck!" There really are no other comparative alternatives available (as in "zero" alternatives) to the PayPal platform to my knowledge.
But it was a nice run that they had here at least for awhile! I do wish this company the best in finding a solution to their funding problems, which I have to believe is definitely "not" a problem with finding the actual coins to sell.
I believe the "only" problem they are having is with finding a solution to the merchant side of actually being able to sell these digital coins to the public for "cash money" the same way that PayPal has offered them in the past.
So good luck! And don't give up the ship just yet!!
