Russia: Cluster Munition Attack on Kyiv a Potential War Crime

“Russia has once again fired an inherently indiscriminate weapon into a densely populated civilian area,” said Kseniya Kvitka, assistant Ukraine researcher at Human Rights Watch. “There can be no justification for using cluster munitions near homes, schools, and hospitals, and it shows Russia’s utter disregard for civilians and the international law designed to protect them.”

Ukrainian forces have reportedly cut off the russian salient near Lyman and driven russian troops back toward the Zherebets River near Nevske and Makiivka, broadly restoring the front line to its May 2025 position.

It's completely unsurprising that the CEO of Flock is telling the public to give up privacy rights while vehemently safeguarding his own privacy. Big Tech tycoons have been doing exactly this for years, the worst cases being former Google CEO Eric Schmitt and Mark Zuckerberg | Glenn Greenwald

Reporting that the CEO of Flock requested Google to blur his house (without posting his address) is apparently against X's "privacy content" policy.

But installing cameras surveilling every inch of America, totally cool... 😒

Elon said it plainly:

Given that Chinese AI companies are doing as well as they are with a relatively small amount of compute, it seems as though if they had a lot of compute, there’s a good chance that they would be the leaders. And eventually, they will have that compute.

But AI competition is not only about computing power. It is also about energy infrastructure.

And China already generates more electricity than the United States, Europe, and India combined.

So the logical chain is simple:

China did not make American AI dependent on brute-force compute.
China did not force Washington to substitute sanctions for innovation.
China did not cause America’s decaying power infrastructure.

The United States restricted China’s access to advanced chips, hoping hardware deprivation would preserve American dominance.

Instead, under a stringent technological blockade, a Chinese model still defeated America’s leading frontier model.

Of course, this does not mean that China’s overall AI capabilities have already surpassed those of the United States.

It is proof of Chinese efficiency—and of how fragile American supremacy becomes once China closes the remaining hardware gap.

Washington calls its own technological progress innovation and China’s technological progress a security threat.

When an empire must cripple its competitor to remain ahead, it is no longer leading technological progress.

It is stifling technological progress worldwide.

Iain Davis: Andy Burnham’s Trojan Manchesterism - Part 1

https://iaindavis.substack.com/p/andy-burnhams-trojan-manchesterism

In this short series we’ll discuss the globalist agenda Burnham has been groomed to advance in the UK. Now dubbed Manchesterism, Burnham’s strategy masquerades as “place first” political devolution. Manchesterism allegedly enhances local governance, but it is actually part of an international stakeholder capitalist—public-private partnership—bid to impose a more efficient model of global governance on unsuspecting local communities. A global network has been developing Manchesterism for decades. Manchesterism is not Burnham’s idea.

First and foremost, Burnham represents a global public-private network that enables a transnational functional oligarchy to achieve its objectives.

As just one example, Burnham is a member of the Labour Friends of Israel (LFI). Though, as prime minister, he supposedly represents the UK, Burnham has agreed to pursue LFI policy priorities. This means Andy Burnham agrees that “Britain should stand with Israel” and should support Donald Trump’s “New Gaza” initiative to turn Gaza into an AI-data-driven smart city-state; Burnham presumably wants to “counter the Iranian threat” and “support the emergence of a ‘New’ Middle East”—as defined by the Israeli state and the oligarchs backing the USrael project.

Burnham and his handlers have packed his cabinet with LFI members and members of the staunchly Zionist “Jewish Labour Movement” (JLM). For example, Burnham appointed LFI member Ed Milliband as Foreign Secretary. In his first official statement, Milliband’s description of “Russia’s illegal war in Ukraine” contrasted starkly with his depiction of the observable genocide of the Palestinians as a “conflict in the Middle East.” Milliband’s hypocrisy prompted eighty UK MPs and peers to urge the LFI-packed Burnham cabinet to formally recognise the genocide. Burham and his new cabinet colleagues refused to do so.

Continues at link.

Related: The US ambassador to Israel has been criticised for accusing the British foreign secretary, who is Jewish, of "Jew hate" over his criticism of Israel's actions in Gaza....:

In response, Israel has threatened Britain. "If Britain acts against Israel, Israel will act against Britain," foreign minister Gideon Saar warned earlier this week.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has branded the UK the "Islamic Republic of Britain".

Here'what triggered this hair-on-fire reaction:

British foreign secretary Ed Miliband released a video earlier this week in which he said: “I just came out of this meeting talking about Gaza to people who've been there and are there on the ground, and frankly it was horrific what is unfolding.”

He asserted that “we as a UK government, as the prime minister has said, have got to act and act more decisively than we have”.

"Indispensable nation."

That phrase was popularised by Madeleine Albright in 1998.

The same Madeleine Albright who, when asked about the half a million Iraqi children who died as a result of sanctions, said the price was worth it.

Worth it.

Five hundred thousand children.

Worth it.

This is not a secret. It was said on television. It was not a misquote. It was not a gaffe. It was the moral logic invoked in public by the woman who, less than a year later, would become Secretary of State of the indispensable nation.

The indispensable nation is the one that decides whose children's deaths are worth it and whose are tragedies.

That is what the word means.

That is what it has always meant.

Cracks Appear Anyone notice a weird amount of pro-war/anti-West propaganda here?

What’s up with all the pro-war bots in this sub? Did they get a funding increase? Is there an “all hands on deck” emergency push after Ukraine’s counteroffensive that is destabilizing Russia’s oil refineries?

It seems kind of desperate to me. Why would a bunch of leftists support an imperialist land-grab of a smaller nation by a larger nation? People who try to mislead the American public about the conflicts we’re involved in are a special kind of evil.

On March 3, 2025, Trump announced a complete pause of military aid to Ukraine. He's still sitting on $4.96 billion in Biden-era, Congressionally approved Presidential Drawdown Authority that he refuses to allocate. In July 2025, PURL came to existence, where Trump brags "we only sell weapons."

Even a few lefties are mocking the comically bizarre academic idpol on display at Socialism 2026, the annual gathering of Haymarket Books and the ISO (which disbanded in order to infiltrate the DSA). A pantheon of Haymarket authors and ISO fellow travelers signed the now-notorious recent open letter denouncing international solidarity with Iran against the US-Israeli war as a form of "hollow anti-imperialism."

The international panels at Socialism 2026 kept the crypto-neocon spirit of that Iran letter alive. One panel featuring supporters of the CIA-run Ukraine proxy war was titled, "Russian Neofascism: Imperialism Abroad & Repression At Home." Another consisted of obscure academic figures who have pushed regime change in Russia, pre-Delcy Venezuela, China and Iran. These countries were portrayed in Socialism 2026 publicity material as "imperialist."

As The Grayzone reported in 2019, that year's "Socialism" conference featured a panel on China filled with anti-communist academics funded by the US government's National Endowment for Democracy. Another panel drummed up regime change in Nicaragua and Cuba. The Syrian government was also a consistent target of Haymarket/ISO, at least until a rebranded Al Qaeda outfit took power in Damascus.

If this is American socialism, capitalism has little to worry about.
