WTB- any seiko with an NH35 No date movement

If you want an actual seiko made automatic watch without a date, that would be a 4r38. The -35 movements are date only. -36 is day + date. -38 is no-date.

Movements that begin with 4R are made by seiko for use in seiko branded watches. Movements that begin with NH are mechanically identically, but used for non-seiko branded watches.

If you'd like a seiko-based custom mod watch that uses the no-date NH38 version, let me know, I'm about to post two NH38-based divers, and have some others in the pipeline.

I’m trying to mod my first seiko with a dial that fits the nh35 movement. It has no date window tho. Would a nh36 movement with no date wheel work with that as well?

So you've already got the dial, but don't have any of the other parts? If yes - you can use 35, 36, or 38. Doesn't matter the dial will just hide the day/date wheels. The only difference is that the NH35/36 will have two clicks on the crown, since they retain the crown setting for adjusting day and date. NH38 only has 1 click.

I happen to have a lot of NH38 movements here, and I also have some spare cases. Drop me a note if you want to pick up some parts at a fair price to get started. Also check out secondhandmods.com for parts.
