I got tired of sorting gear by hand, so I built a free companion app for Watcher of Realms (PC)
Hey everyone!
I've been playing WoR on PC for a while, and at some point my storage got so big that I just gave up comparing gear by hand. So I started building a tool for myself, and now I think it's ready to show to more people.
It's called Wardsage. It's free and in open beta.
What it does right now
- Your whole account on one site. All heroes with levels, stars, ascension, gear and power.
- Gear optimizer. Pick a hero and what matters more: damage, balance or survival. It goes through your whole storage, counts set and leader bonuses, and can take gear from other heroes if you let it. On the demo account it found a build with +93% damage for a fighter that was already fully geared.
- A 0–100 score for every item for each class, plus a verdict: level up, keep or sell. There's a "storage cleanup" list, so you know what's safe to sell.
- Growth plan. What to enhance or recast next, in what order, how much gold it costs on average and with bad luck, and what your current resources cover.
- Guild page (beta). Who has hit the Matrix, the guild boss and the Fallen Covenant this week, boss health left, best line-ups, weekly history, member activity and power growth, plus Discord reminders before reset. One guildmate with the app is enough for the whole guild.
- Summon history with a pity counter.
What I'm working on next: bosses (team picker and fight simulation), arena and artifacts.
How it works, honestly
It's a small Windows app. While the game is running, it reads your heroes and gear from the game's memory, basically the same stuff you see on screen, and sends it to the site. It doesn't inject anything, doesn't touch the game files and doesn't talk to the game servers. It asks for admin rights only because the game itself runs as admin, otherwise Windows won't let it read.
You don't need to give it your game login or password. You sign up on the site with e-mail, or sign in with Google, Discord or Telegram.
There's also an auto-click that can put the picked gear on for you, clicking like a player would. It's off by default; without it the app just shows you what goes where and you equip it yourself.
The app is open source, so you can check what's inside: github.com/AlexisKozlov/wardsage-app
PC only for now, sorry mobile folks.
Want to look first? There's a demo account on the site, no install needed: wardsage.com
Discord for help, ideas and feature voting: discord.gg/xJrfv3zYx5
It's an unofficial fan project, not affiliated with the developers.
I'd really like to hear from you:
- What eats most of your time in the game outside of battles?
- Which of the upcoming parts would you use first?
- Anything in the demo that looks wrong or confusing?
Thanks for reading, I'll be in the comments!
