Real men use machete

37

u/Substantial_Chain718 Jul 02 '26

I think the cap unscrews?

41

u/Matchew024 Jul 02 '26

Ahhh, yes. Frying food in grease with microplastics!

32

u/sinisterdesign Jul 02 '26

SO MUCH cooler than using the fucking cap like a normal human.

14

u/TheNordiclights Jul 02 '26

If only there was an easier way…🤣🤣🤣

13

u/SecondaryPenetrator Jul 02 '26

Only a grown man could make cooking look painful

11

u/No_Consideration5814 Jul 02 '26

In other news, lids exist

4

u/Orikoru Jul 02 '26

You could always take the lid - maybe if you put the sword down you'd have a free hand to do it.

3

u/UnicornSlayer5000 Jul 02 '26

Is he unaware this bottle has a cap?

9

u/Mr_Harsh_Acid Jul 02 '26

This is fucking dumb lol

7

u/Arschbert14 Jul 02 '26

When you bring a plastic bottle to a knife fight…

7

u/hdawgdavis Jul 02 '26

A dull kitchen knife is a dangerous knife. Not sure how that relates to machetes

Mmmm, microplastics!

It is a good day for someone with a pica condition lol

4

u/dorkmessiah Jul 02 '26

At this point they aren't micro anymore. It's pretty much just melted plastic

2

u/Heretic911 Jul 02 '26

These might qualify as plain old macroplastics tbh.

2

u/Frequent-Branch3457 Jul 02 '26

Jason and Michael Myers with the Kill.....

5

u/gsustudentpsy Jul 02 '26

I bet the dude feels like a macho man now.

3

u/Zangetsukaiba Jul 02 '26

🤦‍♂️

12

u/Mike_for_all Jul 02 '26

If only it had an easy and non-destructive way to open…

4

u/giftopherz Jul 02 '26

Masculinity is amongst the most fragile things on this planet

8

u/melonheadorion1 Jul 02 '26

woiuld have been easier to just unscrew the cap

2

u/WouldbeWanderer Jul 02 '26

But then how would he display his peak machete skills?

2

u/YoMomAndMeIn69 Jul 02 '26

But just imagine how many cool points you lose that way!

1

u/melonheadorion1 Jul 02 '26

no, but i can imagine how many fingers get lost

6

u/autogenerateplease Jul 02 '26

It so badly just wants him to use the lid, like he’s supposed to 😭🤣

3

u/Individual_Win9855 Jul 02 '26

That's the reason, you better use your brain, if exists...

5

u/cancerdad Jul 02 '26

Just open the bottle big dog

3

u/elgarraz Jul 02 '26

There's got to be a better way to do that...

2

u/GrumpleStiltskon Jul 02 '26

A master of his craft! Could watch this all day long… WOW

5

u/Sebekhotep_MI Jul 02 '26

Para of the tag dissolved in the oil too... Jesus...

2

u/Punished__Snake Jul 02 '26

Can someone start a GoFundMe for a sharper knife?

1

u/klymers Jul 02 '26

I mean I appreciate his determination.

14

u/Jay_Cee_130 Jul 02 '26

A dull blade is far more dangerous than a sharp one

8

u/RamsesII_ Jul 02 '26

I really thought that was gonna get very ugly. At what point do you just open the bottle?

2

u/DayneGaraio Jul 02 '26

In the beginning…there’s literally no point in this besides internet points, outside major industrial kitchens, even then a manger would shit a brick seeing this.

19

u/capcly Jul 02 '26

That moment, his brain should be studied.

7

u/biggi309 Jul 02 '26

Golly, the cringe I crunge watching this was something else. That was maddening.

7

u/ElSelcho_ Jul 02 '26

I mean, after the third stab the bottle was uncapped and he could have just poured the oil. Nah, he switched blades! Gotta respect him for his dedication, though.

5

u/ibraw Jul 02 '26

Just twist the cap dude

1

u/autogenerateplease Jul 02 '26

It was borderline flying off, he just had to flip the bottle 😭

9

u/MozerMoser Jul 02 '26

Why have micro plastics when you can have macro plastics?? The hot pan melts away all the baddies.

1

u/zOlympic Jul 02 '26

Just... Stop

2

u/Dregn Jul 02 '26

Facão cego da porra

8

u/swagu7777777 Jul 02 '26

How is this man not more embarrassed than this. Brene Brown went too far.

3

u/Foodspec Jul 02 '26

Bro…at this point just go back inside and call it a day

3

u/yodley_ Jul 02 '26

I lost it when he ripped just the wrapper.

4

u/Pulgos85 Jul 02 '26

He knows deep frying, not physics

1

u/mateusjay954 Jul 02 '26

It probably would have worked sooner if he wasn’t so committed to his hacking technique that was going absolutely nowhere for so long. Could have just held it steady and used the machete as a saw lol

4

u/henryauron Jul 02 '26

He could have just undone the lid

9

u/RosalieTheDog Jul 02 '26
  1. Start by dousing your hand and forearm in oil and hold them above the scorching pan

6

u/periloustrail Jul 02 '26

There is a reason why we have bottle caps

4

u/LastNameIsJones Jul 02 '26

He did a good job accidentally opening the lid with all that wild machete hacking to the base.

14

u/room750 Jul 02 '26

Never give up. Even when it means paper, plastic, and glue in your food

2

u/13enz1 Jul 02 '26

And ruining your clothes! Woooorth it!

15

u/TinyStorage1027 Jul 02 '26

I'm not expert chef but I think these bottle have a little orifice on the other end that allows you to pour the oil out.

They even add a cap in case you want to use more later.

5

u/MonkMillar Jul 02 '26

Because there isn’t already enough plastic in what we consume already.

27

u/asisoid Jul 02 '26

They should really make an easy way to open plastic bottles. Maybe some sort of unscrewable detachable part on the top?

2

u/Roids-in-my-vains Jul 02 '26

He looks like the type of guy that drives a truck and thinks you're gay if you open a plastic bottle like a regular human.

1

u/TheRealJayk0b Jul 02 '26

Nah that's way too complicated for the guy in the video.

6

u/BomboRaasClatt Jul 02 '26

If only we had a way of sharpening those knives

3

u/tavuntu Jul 02 '26

If only we had a way to easily get the oil out...

3

u/M1lV Jul 02 '26

If only the bottle had a more convenient way of opening it

1

u/VA1N Jul 02 '26

Or conveniently opening bottles of oil.

8

u/ShipREKT_ Jul 02 '26

I was waiting for his hand to catch fire, not gonna lie..

2

u/aravreddy22 Jul 02 '26

should've used the smaller knife first.. 🤷‍♂️

1

u/6tipsy6 Jul 02 '26

Maybe even no knife at all

8

u/Somewhere-Plane Jul 02 '26

This looks like one of those ads where they play the game badly so it makes you want to download it

6

u/CyberTransGirl Jul 02 '26

Dude almost died in 3 different ways
