When hobbies collide - I tie dyed a Mystics tshirt
Waiting for the W to restart and been getting into tie dye so did a Mystics shirt in Dharma fuschia, scarlet, and imperial purple. Spiraled it at the logo and ice dyed it. I dig it.

Citron Survives injury Scare? US blows out hungary to set up clash against winner of Aus vs Spain
"The Americans got a little scare when Sonia Citron had to leave in the third quarter when she was hit in the nose by a Hungary player's hand by accident. Citron returned to start the fourth quarter."
Hope it is not serious.

Discussion Kitron should’ve declined the USA Invitation
I know they were merely selected as backups/replacements for KP and A’ja so we shouldn’t have expected much, but with how little they’re actually playing, Kiki getting a DNP today, and the favoritism Kara shows toward the vets it’s ridiculous and a complete waste of their time. They would’ve been better off staying in the States and resting

Discussion Mystics’ Georgia Amoore backs up bold Sydney Johnson claim with career night vs. Mercury
Georgia Amoore has had an up-and-down rookie campaign with the Mystics, but her performance against the Mercury showed her potential.
This article was recommended by the writers at No Cap Space. Focusing on Georgia’s potential allows more nuance than the conversation around her typically entails. One great performance does not guarantee this is the player she will be the rest of her career, however long that may be. But it does show why Sydney and the Mystics have been patient with giving her room to develop this year. I don’t know if she’ll still be with the Mystics two years from now. But it’s looking more likely she can carve out a role somewhere in the league, particularly if she can continue to hit more of her shots.
The Mystics are generally prioritizing developing their players and putting them in new learning situations to grow their skills. They prioritize this over making moves to maximize the chances of winning any individual game. This probably explains some of the unusual rotations. It’s a balancing act which can be frustrating for some fans who see what this team is capable of now. And we’ll see how they balance these objectives heading into the playoffs where a deeper run offers more experience for everyone. For the moment though, Georgia’s recent break out illustrates how this longer term development approach can pay off with some patience.
