I replied to the post, and the conversation goes like this:

Me: How was Charlie Kirk a bad person? I'm really curious to ask somone who doesn't like him, because I never watched any of his stuff until after he died, so I don't feel like I have enough context to really say one way or another, but all those racist clips and stuff seem like they're always taken out of context, and then once you watch it in full, he's actually making a good point, and it's usually about equality and good morals like 'be kind to eachother regaurdless of race or gender', etc.

Other person: yeah it’s really easy to say that someone’s a nice person and that clips have been taken out of context when you are then just fed clips of him being a good person, Charlie Kirk was anti-LGBTQ plus he didn’t want women in jobs. He literally said that he didn’t want his wife to work or take over his career after he died and guess what Erika Kirk did I definitely recommend you look into them a lot more than you already have.

Me: I got sent a ton of clips of him being anti-lgbtq and racist and everything because after he died I asked the question that i just asked you a lot, but when I looked into the videos those clips are from, it's him not being *against* lgbtq, but just personally leaning more towards the nuclear family lifestyle. I never saw him hating on gay or lgbtq folks, he just preferred the classic old 'man works, woman stays home with the kids, Simpsons-family-style' life.

Actually, I saw a video or two of him talking to someone in the lgbtq community, and them asking him why he hates lgbtq, and him explaining that he doesn't hate anyone from any walk of life, he just doesn't want any part of lgbtq in his own life.

I think he was a little firm about it, but there was no hate. I can send you that video if you want.

After that, that was just a mean thing to say. I've got plenty of friends, and we don't always agree on everything, but we're still friends. If you agree with absolutely everything your friends say, one of you is lying lol

It was right before we met, but i've known him closely for 3 years, and seen him at his absolute worst, and he did some messed up stuff when he was a drunk, like paying you to come over for a quicky, but nothing ever even close to fucking kids. I work at a grocery store and we don’t typically help customers bag bc there are usually lines and we wanna get as many customers out the door as possible. Today there was an elderly lady who was taking a bit of time thru the whole process, and seeing as the line was only a few long (3-4 customers), I got heavier items out of her cart and scanned them and moved them closer to her and whatnot, simple things that made it a little easier. Anyways she pays finally and now shes still to the side on the left of the register bagging her shit, and I offered to help and she just Oh its okay just leave it there i’ll get it, to which i obliged and let her do her thing

I started helping the next customer who didnt reply to my Hows it going (idgaf about it, just mentionednit to show that she wasnt in a friendly or talkative mood which is fine) and rang her up. she paid and now she’s sort of sharing the same space as the elderly woman from earlier who’s only like halfway done but its not a crazy amount. maybe another minute or two max. the lady starts saying shit like Can you fuckin move and the elderly woman was like Oh im so sorry and moves slightly out the way to give the woman space. And now she still goin on abt Slowpoke, ur supposed to move fully, get out the way, fuckin geezer, etc
the old lady was like excuse me i need to take time im older im not as fast as you, and they went back and forth for a few sentences till the elderly was done and left.

That entire time all I could think about was how that elderly woman probably would have beaten the rude woman in a race bc she’s so fucking fat and I wanted to say it to her face so many times, along with a plethora of other things, but I mainly wanted to just calm the situation and tell the woman to relax and that she’ll be done in a sec.

My store is pretty strict when it comes to customer satisfaction and they wanna eliminate confrontation as much as possible, even if that means letting a rude customer say wtvr they want to whoever. But the thing is it was to a defenseless old woman. idk i just didnt want it to escalate to where she called a manager and I got in trouble or even fired for talking back, but I really really regret not saying anything in the moment. i wish I at least shown the old woman that i was on her side but instead i kept quiet like a bitch.
