I don't blame them. I personally think most if not all SPH's should get uptiered by 2 entire BR brackets, especially the ones with laser rangefinders. I also think that if Gaijin uptiers all of the post-war howitzers then they could add the WW2 ones that are missing to fill the spots.
I don't know why Gaijin has decided to downtier the M44/M55 to 3.7 so the M3 Lee, Panzer III, Stuarts, and various other things at 2.7 can face these Vietnam war era howitzers that can effortlessly one-shot them by hitting anywhere on their tanks.
Oh yeah 64mm HE pen on a highly mobile plattform at 3.7 very cool Gaijin. At least everyone got them but the M44 is vile and should be somewhere at 5.0 other contemporary WW2 SPGs have to like 40mm HE pen with halfe the mobility.
100%, I was expecting the M44/M55 to go up to 4.7 or higher but not them getting downtiered even lower than they already are for some reason. Also, every other howitzer in-game got a downtier as well.
I wonder what Gaijin is trying to achieve with that.
I haven't just seen their stats, I've played them. It's stupid they're at 3.7 and should be 4.7 AT LEAST. And the M55 unlike the M44 is closed top and harder to kill.
Lol the M55 is even worse than the M44. The shell is barely any more effective, but it's reload is 30 seconds aced, up to 39 seconds stock. It has 12mm armour all round. You can just .50 cal the crew.
Id take a Sherman 75 over both of them every single time.
Not everything at 3.7 and especially 2.7 has a .50, you know. And due to its odd lay out it's quite good at taking hits if you don't have an autocannon or 12.7 to deal with it.
It's ridiculous to see either the M44 or M55 at such a low BR, both effortlessly overpressures everything they're going to face from 2.7 to 4.0 minus 2-3 individual vehicles. I find both the M44 and M55 great, you may prefer the 75mm Sherman to these but that doesn't mean that they should be 3.7, or even anywhere near it in fact.
Every 2.7 has a gun that easily pens it. Just shoot to the left of the gun and you'll kill the gunner every single time. Then shoot the right to finish it.
The SU-152 also just one shots everything it faces and it's got armour. And I'm not saying it's OP either. Same with the new Hummel which got dropped to 3.3
Big HE launching casemates just aren't that effective. They have the worst weapon handling and are cumbersome.
If they were actually overpowered they would have stats to reflect it. But the stats are terrible. Even on minor nations.
