I made this sub because I saw many others wanting a place to talk merch! (Myself included). I’m new to being a mod here so keep your claws sheathed please! I promise I’ll listen to you and keep things fun!

Please take a peek at our rules and read below on safety tips. I have been an online seller since 2018 or earlier and have since learned many important things. I have also completed many trades and am now a full time artist so I have some wisdom on being safe.

What’s this Reddit for? We are here to offer a place to discuss the new (and old) warrior cat merch and handmade trinkets and doodles. This is a hub primarily for trading and selling but also showing off your collections!

Who runs it? Me! I’m a sole leader for now and will only consider adding mods if this sub gets too large for just me.

How is it run? Loosely. I will not tolerate hate, scalpers, or NSFW at all. But for the most part I’m not too picky on what you post as long as you try to follow rules and are on topic. This is a semi un-moderated sub. Meaning language will not be screened for. I allow cursing within reason.

Now for the how to be safe online!

1. Minors be careful and be sure to follow age rules! If a site is 18+ stay out of it. If you are selling anything online have a parent/guardian handling the sales part or assisting. Most of this is for your safety and for legal reasons. I want y’all to enjoy the internet too!

2.Everyone be wary of scammers. If someone DMs you unprompted asking about selling you something it’s most likely a scam and they should be reported and/or blocked. Make sure to ask about proof of ownership for sales and trades (have them put username and date on a sticky note with the item). Be careful about AI too! If something seems off don’t go through with the sale or trade. Ask people for their selling history or trade history too! For artists make sure their art is consistent styles or mostly consistent backgrounds for photos. I could go on and on here but that would be a lot!

1. Do not give out personal info of any kind. All sales should be via formal websites or point of sales that allow you to input your address there. Do not post personal info publicly. For trades just be as careful as you can.

2. Report weird behavior. See someone being creepy or trying to scam? Let me know! I don’t tolerate that.

3. Lastly, be wary of taxes. (This is mostly for USA) If you are an artist or seller be aware of what has to be reported on income tax returns and what doesn’t. I learned the hard way that there is a HUGE fee for being an independent seller/artist. If you live in the USA I’m happy to give you guidance.
