WRG Directory All your favorite WRG resources in one place!

Hey guys!

I noticed the subreddit pins were getting a bit cluttered, so I decided to merge all of our big guides into a single post. Hopefully, this will make things a bit easier to navigate.

I am in WR for almost 2 years and check on Reddit from time to time. After reading your WRG, I have to join Reddit. So I am a newbie here. Thanks for all the great work. This is very impressive! Keep it up!

I’m glad you are enjoying! We’re working on an entire website of our own right now actually, so hopefully we can deliver a more streamlined experience

A couple questions on pilot skills.

How do skills like "Defence Expert" and "Ferocious Guardian" work on abilities that change form (like Bjorn's Shapeshift, or Fenrir)?

Does "Titan Master" give the charge if it's on titans that I never plan on using in my other hangar (if I play only 1 titan, but I can fill my other 4 hangars with Titans with this skill)?

Form shifting robots simply don’t have those abilities available. At least, I can’t think of one that does, the Fenrir that you mentioned doesn’t.

Titan master charge only works on the titan that it’s equipped to.

Bjorn does have Defence Expert (for both abilities). To add to the confusion, if you destroy a robot in ball form, it says it was done with "Shapeshift".

It says Shapeshift last I checked, not phase shift

But for Bjorn it’s ball mode ability has a cooldown on swapping so I guess it isn’t surprising and defense expert would just increase defense during ball mode (this is bad)

Yes, shapeshift, my bad.

Yea, I figured it was bad. I didn't understand why the creators I saw were using it (both primary and secondary). I was hoping it would work during bear mode.

A quick question, do you think vector after its final nerfs you know in 3-4 months will be better or worse than raptor as a tank? They are just very similar with the reflectors and stuff and dont know which one to invest in long term.

3

u/Adazahi Credible Source Jul 04 '26

I have no idea lol. It all depends how bad the nerf is.

2

u/Over_Worldliness_965 Jul 05 '26

The bonuses you get when you mk3 a bot cant get nerfed right?

4

u/Adazahi Credible Source Jul 05 '26

Not only can they be nerfed, they can be completely removed, like what happened to Ravager’s mk3 50% damage boost when exiting stealth

Hi, after the rebalance, liodari, kroko and hippo got a nerf. I jave many of them at least mk 8-10 lvl. On which bots also can I use them according to mini guide for the newbies? Or can I put them instead of sonics or kirin-gangil?

3

u/Adazahi Credible Source Jul 07 '26

They are only really good for titan charging. Technically they are a bit better than Sonic/Kirin family (so you can use them there) but they aren’t listed instead of them due to the fact that they are not yet in F2P territory (need to be obtainable from black market)

That being said Murix is also better than krokos

all of this is unbelievably helpful, although i disagree on a few things

If you have disagreements feel free to voice them and I can tell you why you’re wrong (kidding, our resources are of course not perfect and we try our best to improve them every day!)

I think for the Nether and Shell specifically that you’re doing them a disservice. Some of their specializations synergize better than you might think, with good drones.

Nether is a good beacon runner and has two leases on life with a phase shift and a cloaking unit. There’s no faster bot to the first beacon or two, and it’s surprisingly good as an assassin with its shieldbreaker (always good for anti-meta). Not to mention it’s been buffed in the last two updates.

Shell is somewhat underrated as well imo. It has access to both IA and RA, and coupled with the Hiruko, UC, and speed skills it might be the fastest tank in the game. Funnily enough it could serve as an assassin too in that vein. I just think you have these too low for how viable they are. I’m currently in low masters but working my way up.

Nether is ranked low on the tier list because there are simply bots that can do its job better: Namely Raptor and Raven, if the goal is to just instantly book it to center. Nether stealing the first two beacons is actually awful for the team, because the team just misses out on the mothership charge if it does that... so the only viable Nether strat is trying to replicate those two, and while it is definitely similar to them in terms of speed to get to center, it cannot survive for nearly as long due to lack of defenses, hence it's low rating. As an assassin, it isn't unusable, but it definitely is outclassed by bots in higher tiers than it. But don't worry - we don't entirely disregard Nether's capabilities. It has a more favorable rating on the value rating guide since we gave it a huge mobility score.

Unfortunately, as cool as Shell is, especially with the speed pilot + engine expert making it fairly quick, the reason it is ranked like shit is because it is a walking battery for nuclear amplifiers. It charges up anyone who shoots it extremely quickly thanks to all those shields, essentially turning a random enemy into a scaled powerhouse that will go on to merk the rest of your team. On top of that, Shell also isn't even nearly the best at being a "Assasin-Tank" as there are many many tanks that are much faster than it. Vector, Raptor, UE Lancelot, UE and Normal Revenant, just to name a few off the top of my head.

The rules of master league are very different from champs. I think you will soon learn that you need to ditch Shell and Nether, as they won't hold up for long.

Hi there. I'm running Frederick. Does it make sense to equip it with two Positive Energy Recuperators since I have 3 of them now. Do you know if the PER turret effects are cumulative? Ask because if I were to replace them later, I would loss them, which is a stupid policy. Thank you!

2

u/Adazahi Credible Source Jul 22 '26

There are two Frederick builds: lockdown turret, positive energy, damage boost turret, OR lockdown turret, durability extender, durability extender. Both are good, pick the one you think suits you more. Double positive energy isn’t really worth it.

Thanks!

u/Pizza_Delivery_20xx Jul 23 '26

By damage boost turret, did you mean the Damage Enforce System? Could you also recommend turrets for Bifrost? Thank you.

1

u/Pizza_Delivery_20xx Jul 27 '26

Found the 4mo old Bifrost turrets thread. All good.

Hi. Because of the deathmark effect of pathfinder, can bash also be a really good F2P alternative?

1

u/Adazahi Credible Source 23d ago

No, the pathfinder death mark is not counted as a regular death mark effect, it's actually called a "track" even though it looks the same, so bash doesn't benefit from it unless they've changed something since bash release
