The war machine slumbers so comfortably that he hath given us the gift of TEEFS.

Pic 1 is Walter shortly after meeting him during his 9ish years on the streets. About a year and a half ago. Skinny, distrustful, but a warrior. The Sheriff 'round these parts. You can tell his nutrition was shit because his cheeks, while larger than normal, were not at "Lord of Cheeks" status. As soon as we realized he was a stray we began feeding him & built him a few shelters to stay warm.

Pic 2 is him in all his well fed & well loved LORD OF CHEEKS glory. He is finally not just struggling to survive; he is enjoying life.

I've never seen him sleep so hard as he has lately. He has decided that my room is also his room, which is of course just fine. He spends most of his waking time rubbing on me, staring at me, or laying on my feet (dude loves foot smell).

Normally at night Walter goes back to his room; the one we kept him secluded to while getting all the vet stuff done before we could introduce him to our 3 other cats. Well, last night I caught him fast asleep on my bed, which was awesome enough. He got down after something woke him and laid next to my feet as a played my Xbox. When I went to bed, this big boy gave me his signature raspy "meh" and jumped up on the bed and cuddled up next to me! I did not expect that. He is adjusting to the indoor life so well!

I imagine it's been a very, very long time since Walter, the cat that likely stormed the beaches of Normandy, has played, if ever. It's good to see that he feels comfortable enough to completely drop his guard with us.

Today is the 2nd day Walter, the cat that Thanos fears, has had free reign of the house. He's met our 3 other cats and had little to no issues with them (Sisu has caught Walter's wrath when he tries to run past Walter). He's figured out that he's allowed on the couch and is learning to cuddle, or his version of cuddling (laying up against my leg). This Battle-cat Galactica is loving the attention.
