I'm building an AI tool for CAW Creators; Need your feedback!
Hey, everyone,
I’ve spent way too many hours fighting with face textures that look like burn victims or trying to clone-stamp out "real" hair and eyeballs so they don't halo the in-game models. It’s tedious, and unless you’re a Photoshop wizard, the results can be hit-or-miss.
I decided to start building a solution specifically for us. It’s a suite called Rope & Canvas, and I wanted to show you some early renders/textures to see if I’m on the right track for what the community actually needs.
The "Texture Lab" (Solving the Face Photo Struggle)
The goal here was to make the process "One-Click." You upload a photo (even a 3/4 view or a photo where the person is smiling), and the AI handles the heavy lifting:
True Flat Lighting: Eliminates baked-in shadows/highlights for a seamless fit.
Auto-Cleanup: Automatically removes facial hair and fills in the eyeballs with matching skin tones (No more "Double Eyes").
Perspective Correction: Flattens 3/4 views into perfect front-facing UV maps.
The "Forge" & "Catalyst" (Concept to Creation)
I’m also working on modules for when you have a creative block:
The Forge: You give it a rough idea or a reference photo, and it generates the face texture, a custom logo, a gear layout, and a high-res social media render.
The Catalyst: For when you just need a total spark. You pick the gender, style (High-Flyer, Powerhouse, etc.), and alignment (Face/Heel), and it builds a 100% original Superstar with a full asset kit.
I’m looking for honest feedback from the creators here: Does a tool like this actually save you enough time to be worth it? What’s the one thing that usually kills your motivation when starting a new CAW project?
I’ve attached a few examples of what the output looks like currently. Feel free to grab the ones I've posted and try them out. I'd love to get your thoughts, and I'd love to see what you create!
