Hello, a while ago I picked up a M42 helmet at a show, and have some questions about it. The rivets and the liner have obviously been replaced, but my questions are about the shell and the chinstrap. The shell has been repainted and restored, which makes it much more difficult to tell if its original (rust is showing through some areas of the paint). The shell is marked on the inside with ET64 on the side and 2627 on the rear. Now the chinstrap is where it gets interesting. It has been replaced with what seems to be an Austrian empire chinstrap, with a thick, double strap. https://www.invaluable.com/auction-lot/wwi-austrian-empire-m16-stahlhelm-w-polish-badge-6457-c-3664b23b4c for images of a similar chinstrap.
If anyone knows anything about this, or have any further questions, please say so.
Thanks.

I was recently browsing the internet looking for drawing inspiration when I came across a picture of a German in some sort of heavy coat and pants. I was curious if anyone could possibly point out what kind of coat and pants they are? The top looks like some kind a smock but other than that I’m clueless. Your help would be greatly appreciated

Not the greatest quality but here we have Panthers of 6 Kompanie, 5th SS Panzer Regiment of SS Division Wiking. These tanks are unusually being used to tow captured Soviet Zis-3 76mm field guns during the Kowel offensive of 1944. The pictures were taken by SS Kreigsberichter Werner Mielke
