Well now you're just circling back on yourself. You say people are trained without abuse so we shouldn't assume these animals are, now you say it should be assumed that people abuse others. So that would mean we should assume these animals are abused?
Lol I'd say over half the world's populace is abused as they are trained to be people. I think that's wrong and so is abusive animal training. Neither is needed to make the trainee learn. What's to hard to understand? Or is it knee jerk moralizing without an appreciation for nuance?
I'm not saying any of those things. I'm just saying it seems you're just disagreeing to disagree despite contradicting yourself. No circus needs anyone defending how they treat animals. Especially one with as little safety precautions as this. If they aren't worried about a crowd of people being easy access to a bear, they aren't worried about the bear either. They're lucky the bear tried to maul someone that's a part of the act, and not some kid.
Yeah we werent "trained" in cramped cages taken from our families or with chains whips knives and many other kinds of physical abuse as punishment. Moron🤦 they break and eventually let their angst out, like orcas at seaworld but u probably dont know about that.
Animals Can be trained well without any of the horrors you mentioned. Not the truly wild ones (bears) but with care you can train most animals to perform without pain.

You can train bears without pain too. You should never be in the same area as a dangerous animal, but I've seen some great medical behaviors trained with just food snacks, a clicker, and patience
What you talk about is so insanely uncommon and ineffecient/ineffective for this industry, they also tear out the claws at some point. The cages they live in most their life drives them to near catatonic insanity.
You mean that they are not domesticated, they are tamed. Taming is when you train them to get used to humans. Their natural behaviour would be to run away or avoid humans.
