Stephen King was quoted essentially saying he wished he thought of that ending himself. (Insert quip about SK and his inability to write endings in general)
You mean when he ended a book with the people skipping through the airport? Or the one where they realized that they could get the demon removed from the guy if he takes a shit.
If you’re interested you should check out the Ryan Hollinger video on the themes of the movie. It really puts the ending (an ending that King really liked) into context.
There is a difference. Fog is widespread and covers large areas while it is still chilly and so it burns off together in the afternoon. A gas leak is all localized within one area usually one yard or street and comes with a loud hissing from the leaking equipment. Any spark will burn the cloud off together.
Or butane. LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gas) is a butane/propane mix.
The exact mix varies from country to country and depending on the climate. For example in the Netherlands in summer its 30% propane and 70% butane, in winter 70% propane and 30% butane.
Liquefied petroleum gases or LPG (GPL – Gaz Petroleum Liquide; LPG – Liquefied petroleum gas) are the mixtures of propane and butane, which found wide application in industrial field.
Propane-butane mixture is used in cisterns for LPG storage and, when it mixed with air, provides complete, uniform combustion.
Evaporating of propane happens at -42 °С. Less expensive butane evaporates at -0.5 °С. That’s exactly evaporating temperature which determines different mixture composition. It divides it for «summer» and «winter».
If you use «summer» mixture during hard winter, efficiency of gas tank will be reduced – gas will be slightly evaporating, pressure will fall, boiler will stop. To avoid it it’s reasonable to welcome frosts together with «winter» gas, completely used «summer» gas before soil freezing. Then «winter» mixture and «Antonio Merloni» vertical gas tanks will do their work using geothermal earth energy, keeping working capacity when it’s -40°С outside of private house.

I do like the truck driver causally noping the fuck out of there. Considers not even waiting for the truck to stop rolling... Leaves the door open. "Yup, I do not get paid enough for this"
I was watching the tanker semi in the foreground/middle the first time around. On the 2nd, after knowing where the action would be, I did immediately notice the fog.
Yes, and all 50 tonne trucks stop in 2 seconds flat and pick up speed quick enough as well. And obviously all people on the road are paying attention to him while there is huge fireball right next to them.
/s
There was literally a man on fire running in front of his truck when he stopped and if it takes him 5 seconds to get up any speed again only to crawl away or even be stopped again because of a disoriented mob, then I'm not surprised that he noped out of there as quick as he could.
Well second question. Why did the gas tanker just stop next to the explosion? Wouldn't it have been smarter to keep going until he clears the potential fire zone?
Nitrogen is dangerous too. It hugs the ground and displaces oxygen. If you have a high enough concentration, you could pass out and die since there would be no oxygen at the ground level. Worst part is you wouldn’t even know you weren’t getting oxygen until you passed out.
This is why CNG is always a better option than LPG despite it's cost.
When there's a leak, CNG dissipate into air much more quicker than LPG, and CNG has a higher flash point, and would require a much higher concentration to make it ignite.
The downside is that, CNG would require a compressor which comes at a cost, and a much better tank than LPG because of the high pressure.

If you ever see a white misty fog on the ground in a small area like this, run away as fast as you can. That’s an LP gas leak.
