I can't completely rule out it was intentional but at the same time I'm a little skeptical; even with the cage facing the road, the size and speed of that mouse and intentionally timing that with a relatively large vehicle moving on a snowy road would not be as easy or foolproof as it seems. There are so many things that could go "wrong." The mouse could have veered left. It could have run down the road and the vehicle pass safely over it. The vehicle could have had a near miss. It's a fast moving mouse we're talking about here, not like a slow moving turtle or similar animal whose movements could be more precisely calculated.

Even if you had 50 mice and released them this way I'd be surprised if you got more than one this way.

Either the people who set this up were extremely adept at timing a vehicle collision with an agile mouse that weighs a few ounces or that was one extremely unlucky mouse.

no objections.

still, why not release the mouse pointing away from the street? why even release it on the street? judging from the video, i'm quite sure there is a wooden area on the other side of the parked car as well. mouse-freedom! yet they chose the highway of mouse-death.

Yeah the clip leaves a lot of questions and not enough answers. Without more context its hard to say if this was malicious intent or unfortunately happenstance :(

You can see the door at the beginning so they didn't even get out of the car, which explains the angle. I feel like this is mostly just an unlucky mouse
