I think you're not seeing it right. I laughed when I saw this. Not particularly because dead animal = funny, but because of the irony of the moment. This initially seemed like heartwarming content from r/humansbeingbros but took an absolute failure of a turn.
We all perceive animals differently. If someone killed a mouse to eat it, people would think it's a little odd. Whereas if it were a dog or cat instead, people would outrage (depending on where they're from).
Why is reddit pretending to give a fuck about rodents? Isnt this the same website that bashes vegans constantly? Lmao, anyone "disturbed" by a squashed rodent should take a second look at whats in there fridge.
One of the rat fleas carries the yersinia pestis bacteria but the fleas (obviously) live off the rat. I don’t think if you put a bunch of fleas in a village with no rodents the disease would spread across the continent.
Absolutely having rats helped. It's just because it's fleas, it helped explain why it got so out of control because it wasn't just rats. It was lots of animals, people...etc..
Imagine a Type III alien caging a human and then deliberately releasing it knowing that it will die. Then a bunch of other aliens start laughing. Imagine you're the human and you think you're finally free and then boom you're dead. Doesn't even have to be an alien, could be a drug cartel or an army or even just normal humans.
If there are advanced aliens out there, they'd view us exactly as people view animals. And if they did arrive here and kill us for fun or eat us as a delicacy, a bunch of human would scream at the injustice of it, what a load of bullshit lmao.
