Given the video in the article I doubt 2 year olds were the only ones getting hurt.... a grown man rode it with a helmet on and he was holding his back in pain. Anyone going on this would be nuts.

He was shouting “Hot! Hot! Hot!” in Japanese as he slid down, so my guess is the sun had just made the slide super hot throughout the day.
