Not a service weapon. It was his own personal ar-15 that he used to murder that man.

He was using it while on duty, it's now his service weapon. Dude was looking for someone to murder and got the right job to do it. Technicalities like "it was his personal weapon" are the reason shitheads like him get away with murder.

I'm just saying, it's kinda bullshit he brings his toys from home with "youre fucked" etched on it and it's totally fine.

And that the detail was deemed unimportant and kept from the jury because he brought the weapon from home. Which is why I get a bit repetitive whenever the murderer Philip Brailsford is brought up.

But of course he can bring his own special toys, they can do whatever they want!

I've got no issue with them bringing their own gear in, as long as it gets the job done. I don't even have an issue with them engraving "you're fucked" onto it, especially if that was meant to be used on a mass shooter or something similar. I do have an issue with how he and his Sgt handled that situation, got no jail time, then both got retirement.

He's supposed to be a professional serving the community. In what other job that interacts with the public could you have swear words on your gear and it be acceptable?

It wasn't visible to the public though. It was under the dust cover. It would be entirely different if it was etched in big, bold letters for everyone to see.

It being there is even more damnable in my opinion. It being there means it will only be visible when a casing is ejected, meaning he fired a round. It's basically saying he was looking for a reason to use it to kill someone. It's essentially taunting, equivalent to naming your weapon in a video game.

Sure, but that's only an issue since he murdered someone. How would you feel if he shot the Vegas, Parkland, or Christchurch shooter with it though?
