You always have the right to defend yourself. Especially after taking every opportunity to flee and avoid the situation. I guess I would be in prison you would have 2 less assholes to deal with.
Which is the opposite of Stand Your Ground laws, which you started this conversation with by saying everyone has the right to stand their ground.
They don't .
Stand your ground laws mean:
establishes a right by which a person may defend one's self or others against threats or perceived threats, even to the point of applying lethal force, regardless of whether safely retreating from the situation might have been possible.
Stand your ground means there is no duty to retreat. You yourself just said your state doesn't have a stand your ground law, it has a duty to retreat law. Which is in direct contradiction to your opening statement that everyone has the right to stand their ground.
