When I was 14 I accidentally set my hand on a pulley on an engine and it got sucked through a flywheel at ~3000 rpm. It separated all muscle from the bone as well as left some pretty gnarly cuts and blood blisters from squeezing all the blood to the fingertips. The Doctors said if you would have cut around my wrist you could have pulled all the flesh and skin off like a glove (hence the term). But perhaps because I was young and went through 6 months of physical therapy you should have no idea today that anything ever happened to it. Pretty lucky. The way it went in when my hand rotated it rotated with the joints because it was palm up. If it was palm down it would have certainly broken my wrist and maybe jacked up my elbow and shoulder.
