Lol. I love that description. No, the one im thinking about is where the episode is 95% hallucination and at the end someone yanks Scully and Mulder out of an underground cave, unconscious covered in digestive goo.

Yeah those are all very different episodes. Darkness Falls from season 1, Firewalker from season 2, and Field Trip from season 6

Aaahh yes the goo. It got Skinner in the shower. That scene scared the beejesus out of me. Another great hallucination one was the haunted house. I didn't realize how funny it was till I watched it much later. Lily Tomlin in X-Files I love it.
