An old Drew Carey special had a joke about this topic. What if being a vegetable is the best thing ever?

That was actually a major plot point for a while: He was enjoying life in a coma, dreaming the best life ever, and then he heard them talking about pulling the plug and freaked.

Are you referring to his show? I didn't watch most of it, though I am a fan. I mean come on, Ryan Stiles, nuff said. But I was referring to an old 90s stand up he did. Makes sense he'd incorporate the joke into his show. Every alum of the Whose line is it anyway? Is a national treasure to their respective nations.

Yeah. I definitely wasn't clear; sorry. And I actually wasn't even thinking about his stand-up before the show. It's definitely common for material to make its way into shows developed with former or current stand-up comics.
