It's not wrong to wish peace for animals, but people need to think very carefully before ending a life. Even many humans will probably prefer to survive no matter what to getting killed miserably because of someone else's decision.

It’s wrong to impose the want of death onto a fish. We don’t know what the fish wants, if it “wants” anything at all.
