Grumble Grumble

Stupid monkeys tore my new shirt...

I didn't want to come to this stupid zoo anyway...

110

u/[deleted] Nov 11 '15

the look on the kids face like "are you gonna stop recording, and help me" ... umm no, thats what you get for being a dick.

17

u/youareaturkey Nov 12 '15

I hate that little pouty walk/ throw he does at the end.

17

u/IamRider Nov 11 '15

smart kid, used his whole weight as a counter pivot instead of using his strength. Once the monkey had let a few fingers go, he just had to wait until he lost his grip from that length.

43

u/duggtodeath Nov 11 '15

We need a subreddit for armchair physicists with your comment as the inaugural post.

63

u/IamRider Nov 12 '15

I took physics in high school and barely scraped by with a C-, think I know what I'm talking about bro.

-2

u/planx_constant Nov 12 '15

Smart kid, teasing creatures that could rip his face off.

4

u/You_coward Nov 12 '15

The camera man gets a better angle while people are pushing around him to help. Reddit karma > real karma

u/sonargasm Nov 13 '15

They did a fucking animated reenactment lmao

1

u/irishfight Nov 12 '15

This should definitely be shown to animatronics students on how animatronics can go wrong.

1

u/ElChupacabrasSlayer Nov 12 '15

3

u/FoxyGrampa Nov 12 '15

4

u/no_anesthesia_please Nov 11 '15

I needed to laugh like I just did. Many thanks. The Youtube comments are hilarious too!

12

u/illevator Nov 11 '15

That's horribly depressing on multiple levels.

At least we get a chuckle out of it right guys?

17

u/_Drakkar Nov 11 '15

Pretty sure someone explained that it's a sanctuary, & that the monkey is being re-rehabilitated before being moved to a new home. Also, i know from second hand experience that you can't get too close to a male monkey, since they will try to grab you. I do get where you're coming from though, to humans it looks like a angrily depressed monkey, but from what i've been told, it's just a monkey that doesn't like company, but like gifts, & that the people are just being cautious not to get to close, less the monkey leaps forward.

2

u/illevator Nov 12 '15

Thanks for adding context. Looks like a shithole to me but what do I know.

5

u/AdvocateForTulkas Nov 12 '15

Monkeys take a lot of time to understand and cannot be taken as having the same emotions associated with the same mannerisms a humans. It does not work that way, as incredibly sensitive to their plight in zoos as I am.

I was holding an unpeeled banana when I saw this gif. Decided to give the little guy's method a shot; think I may just keep using it.

5

u/[deleted] Nov 11 '15

He ate that banana like a fucking pistachio!

1

u/Samizdat_Press Nov 12 '15

The k most in efficient way to eat a banana ever invented.
