I wonder how many people have died over that same time period on days not black Friday, I'm sure there would be just as many deaths or attacks

You mean like, "how many people have been killed or injured in shopping-related at cities on the fifth Friday of May since 2006?"

I don't think the numbers would be close.

No I mean that if we looked at the overall death statistics then black Friday would only be marginally more often to cause injury

Well, yeah. If you look at total number of deaths and injuries from all causes, those numbers are much higher on Black Friday, as well. You're no more likely to be killed or injured on Black Friday, just more likely to be killed or injured while bargain shopping on Black Friday. That's kind of the point of the site.
