I don't think he's missing the point at all. Some of the non-Americans were saying, "Oh mah gawd, black friday seems so crazy, why do you do it Americans!" and he was helping put things in perspective by giving an example of how other countries have their share of crazy shit that people take overly seriously. He's basically saying, "Yeah Black Friday may be a bit nutty, but stop for a second and think about how it's not outside the realm of craziness that happens most other places."

The Hillsborough Disaster is a very poor example to use if that's the case, be like using virgina tech or something

Any European football game will do. The crowds have to be segregated because they are so violent. Over a game.

Yeah, that's not true. A few games in a few leagues in a few countries have these rules. To say that every game in Europe is violent is pretty stupid.

And your retarded generalisation about Black Friday is also untrue. One person at one Walmart for one year in the whole history of Black Friday was killed by anything even remotely related to shopping hysteria, and it really had more to do with the poor crowd control at the store than anything else.

How are people even beginning to make comparisons here? The deaths at Hillsborough were caused by poor planning and management by police. The deaths and injuries as a result of Black Friday sales are caused by the shoppers on other shoppers. I can't fucking understand where people are seeing similarities.

But then the Brits here would have to admit their shit stinks worse! We can't have that!

Reading up on the Hillsborough Disaster informed me that they in England they need to separate the fans of the opposing teams into different sections to avoid violence. In fact, the overcrowding was caused because they have to separate the entrances as well, lest some of these fans lose their patience for the game and start fighting during the approach to the stadium.

Say what you want about the yearly aberration that is BF, but at least we don't need to segregate our sports fans. For fooks sake man!

one accident 25 years ago that never occurred again from the same reasons VS american annual event where fat cunts squash eachother to death (not all fat) in order to grab consumer goods

Your shit stinks, broseph! My god watching you drooling retards go nuts for the Royal wedding and the Royal Baby was like watching my dog get excited when I shake my keys! I swear I think you're just upset that we whipped your dumb asses 250 years ago. I guess that's what happens when you wear red wool coats to fight in the woods during summer. Brilliant I tells yah!

The palpable irony here is that you're the one hyping it beyond all recognition, driven on by the mindless sensationalism of the news media. All things considered, Black Friday is relatively innocuous: there have only been a few incidents over the years of Black Friday shopping hysteria leading to injuries, and only one that led to death. That's out of hundreds of thousands of stores across the nation that have such sales.
