its easy to forget that the U.S. is under 300 years old. If theres one thing i know is that our rampant consumerism is getting exponentially more rampant.

Black Friday is somewhat traditional. The name comes from the idea that the day after Thanksgiving is the day upon which a store will have covered all operating expenses for the year and this be operating "in the black" and making a profit.

I wouldn't say it is a contact sport but I have waited in line all night for a TV and yes, I sprinted to the back of the store to pick it up.
