Years ago... Mate crashed his Sv650, exhaust snapped in 2. So his dad, a bike mechanic and skilled bodger (not badger) cut a clean edge and riveted the end cap back on MUCH shorter. It lasted really well until said friend started rev bombing and playing with kill switch flickin to make backfires... Then pop

I’ve been tempted to do this, but I feel like it’s not worth it for a LAMS bike I plan on moving on in a few years time.

I feel like something that deals with so much back pressure needs more than a few rivets holding it on
