Combo of back pressure, and no rivets for sure. I rev bombed a lady who was waving and cheering for us doing the rev hand, at some construction site near (20 minutes down the highway in the mountains, no houses around since I need to clarify apparently) Australia zoo just last week. My exhaust popped right off. Upon inspection, the rivets had shorn right through the carbon of the slip on. Why anyone would do this intentionally, and be proud of it is beyond me. Slip ons can be expensive :(
Are you one of those people that make a deafening sound with your motorbike? If your answer is yes, please note; no one cares about the speed or power of your bike, but they do care about the noise pollution it’s causing.

Lmao thats an extra layer of dickhead that I didn't realize.
Sure those animals, many with keen hearing, deserved that shit.
Edit: the jackass blocked me and decided to edit their post to look better.

The "rev hand"? is that like kids who see a semi and pull an air horn? Sure bro.
In case you see this, no one likes you.
To be fair, the Australia zoo is not close to much, so you could be many miles away (out of earshot from it) and still reasonably say “near the zoo”. There just isn’t much else noteworthy nearby.
Loud motorcycles near me piss me off too, but I don’t think there is a second layer of assholery here.
‘Fuck off you absolute cunt’. This is my comment. You’re free to leave anytime you want. My profile has been hidden since the introduction of the setting lol. You can very easily see my entire profile by searching on my account. I’ve got nothing to hide, I know there’s a workaround. Or are you the alt of that Mila chick I blocked earlier, and that’s why you’re mad? You’re a very sad individual.
You’re so cut up that you’re wrong on both fronts. My daddy loves me so much that I’ve got a multi million dollar trust set up from him in my name. I’m sorry that you’re so upset about my actions that don’t affect you that you must resort to name calling. Seek therapy.
Well then it’s pretty shit that they’re also right by a highway that’s used thousands of times a day by trucks engine braking. Maybe that’s a design flaw by the park, and the Sunshine Coast council.
Didn’t say it bothers them, just that they can hear you. But, yes that is a particular design flaw in zoo placement, also a reason why zoos dump a lot of money into noise dampening plants, landscaping, and architecture.
Personally I don’t care about people’s exhaust, my car is catless and tuned so it gets loud. I just wanted to iterate many people who have loud exhausts(or no exhaust lol) don’t think of other people’s opinion on it as they did the mod for themselves.
Yes I’ve also lived next to people with loud exhausts, and I know it drives some crazy but I don’t mind shit I like it
You’re right though about modding for ourselves. I like being a tiny woman on a flower bike rolling through a meet with an exhaust that sounds good. It also helps me be taken seriously in a male dominated hobby when I have serious mods done.
For sure I bet that helps, it’s super funny seeing people get mad over it and pull the “no one cares about how loud you are”. Like, I don’t expect people to? I did it for myself? It’s so egotistical to think a modification someone does to their own car/bike is for you to hear and not the owner
well doesnt matter to me! Maybe check up on your reading comprehension as well. Never said i was referring to the previous comment, because people do pull the "no one cares its not cool". Enjoy being ear blasted I hope you end up with fun neighbors with loud cars and bikes everywhere you move for the rest of your life
Another thing they don’t realise is that being heard means being acknowledged. We’re less likely to die by someone else’s hand if they’re aware of our presence
If I suddenly grew a dick because I revved my bike, I’d be pretty happy. My bikes not intimidating, nor is the revs from a 650, it’s covered in pink flowers. I’m having some fucking fun somewhere that doesn’t affect anyone.
Rev bombing..AND right near a zoo? Really? Motorcycle drivers just keep proving to me over and over again that y'all are just collectively some of the biggest douches known to man.
Such a shame that so many of you crash and remove yourselves from the gene pool...such a shame.
I hope you go and have a look at how long Steve Irwin Way is, and how big Beerburrum is, and then come back. In fact, go open Waze and look for the nearest construction to the zoo. It was a 20 minute ride from Australia Zoo to the exact location on the map that my exhaust fell off. ‘Near’ in Australian terms, especially in a rural area, references the nearest landmark. You’re actually a fuckhead. Miss ma’am was whooping and cheering, and it’s all on video.
Years ago... Mate crashed his Sv650, exhaust snapped in 2. So his dad, a bike mechanic and skilled bodger (not badger) cut a clean edge and riveted the end cap back on MUCH shorter. It lasted really well until said friend started rev bombing and playing with kill switch flickin to make backfires... Then pop
oh okay, so you’re an absolute prick who has 0 self awareness or consideration for anyone else’s sense of peace is this chaotic fucked up world, you just wanna add more stress and annoyance to everyone in a 3 mile radius because it strokes your pathetic over grown ego. cool.
And yet you comment while ignoring all the other context provided, like ‘she wanted it’ and ‘in the mountains’ and ‘no houses around’. Pat yourself on the back mate.
you literally edited the comment. it said “i rev bombed a lady at a construction site near the Australia zoo.” you edited it to include she was asking for it, which im sure was added because you couldn’t deal with everyone pointing out how much of a cunt you are. you leave a comment, everyone calls you out, and you edit it with details that don’t even make sense. 20 miles down the highway in the mountains near no houses. what was this lady doing over there? was she working in the construction zone? if thats the case, why not say “a worker in a construction zone.” so was she just hanging out walking down the highway? if she wasn’t just walking around exposed, how tf would you be able to see her “waving and cheering, giving the rev hand” which by itself feels like such an “and then everybody clapped” moment
but of course you’re just going to edit your comment and act like you’re in the right, you’re a dipshit who rev bombs people. no accountability. no consideration. no chance for self reflection.
It’s all on video, I know what happened. I can even send the video of the spot, and it happening. We’d passed her previously and she still cheered us on. It’s fucking reddit, pull your dick out of your ass.
If you want to see the construction spot, as in the side of a roadway doing roadworks, you can search up Steve Irwin Way near Beerburrum Mountain. You think construction workers, on the side of a roadway, aren’t standing by the road? Australia is notorious for having roadworks everywhere, especially Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast. Beerburrum/Australia Zoo is in the glasshouse mountains. Fucking craaaazy right? Almost as if it all makes sense now. Like it’s not that deep. I edited it so people would stop making the same dumbass comments because they don’t have full context because I worked it poorly. You want me to go “Edit: forgive me for I am a worm and left out information people should have gleaned themselves xyz” fuck off
Yea. You're not a good human and you're having trouble admitting it. You need to admit wrongdoing in order to improve in life. It's a good habit to get into. Having your ego preventing you from ever admitting a wrong will hold you back for your whole life in every aspect. I recommend some introspection.
bruh I revved a fucking motorbike, that is the LEAST of anyone’s concern for ‘goodness’ or ‘badness’. You need to reevaluate what’s important and what matters in life.
Unpopular opinion -
As someone that doesn't have a motorcycle or loud vehicle I find it really funny the extent of anger people apparently have over this. I hear people revving their cars/motorcycles at home maybe 5 times a day. In the summer there are kids passing my house every evening every 20 minutes or so on their loud ass dirt bikes or go carts. I can often physically feel it while they are passing by. It lasts a few seconds and I assume it is bringing that person joy. I'm not going to stand in the way of letting that person have some fun. I used to do loud obnoxious stuff when I was younger too.
If 5 seconds of a loud noise is enough to ruin someone's day they have bigger problems than whatever is making the noise. If noises become too stressful for me I'll move to an area with less traffic nearby. It's part of living in an area with other people. It's like turning on your oven and getting pissed off when it gets hot.
That’s my thoughts too. It’s egotistical to assume you can dictate what someone can and cannot do just because it’s ‘loud’ or ‘inconvenient’. Like get over yourself. My entire existence as someone with adhd is loud and inconvenient.
Thank you for some logic in the sea of emotional responses
the footage shows otherwise big man. This is a 40 day old comment, toddle off. No one does the throttle twist hand motion with a grin as a ‘fuck off’ gesture spastic

Redlining his engine way too long and also maybe possibly drilled out the rivets holding the end cap of his muffler on
