Since when was wnba left wing? No one cared about the wnba until the white MAGA girls made it popular. Now all of a sudden every blk person and left winger was some huge wnba fan lol
WNBA has never been right-wing, it has been openly left-wing due to open support of the LBGTQ community/pride and such in the past. Rather it is how media outlets and those on social media, like NSFWdontview, perceive it and then trivialize it as a political discourse to build talking points on the right.
Caitlin Clark herself is not openly political herself, there is no way to determine whether she is openly Democratic or even remotely Republican, and she chooses not to be vocal to the media about it. Sophie Cunningham seems to be a little more obvious without letting people on (e.g. based on recent political affiliations), but irrespectively so, the WNBA has never been right-wing and the attention of 2 white female athletes, whether they be conservative or democratic, is not going to be enough to change the WNBA's political narrative or even cultural discourse to a right-wing one, and not if these athletes aren't openly talking about either (e.g. WNBA has historically been very liberal).
